Hi

I found a few threads on this forum about TV coverage but none for the USA. I know it's not popular here, but I also know a lot of Brits, Irish, South Africans, French and Aussis live here.
Where are you going to watch the cup live or not?

Thanks a lot

Patrick

That's terrible to have to pay so much. I have never missed a WC before.

Thanks for the answer anyway.

If you get in contact with some rugby clubs in your area you might fiind that they have subscribed to the service and are planning events at the club to view various matches. Might be a good way meet folks as well.

Rusty_lock's advice to go and find a club to watch the games is a good idea, or you can try internet streams:

This one is meant to be very good, not too expensive and will have all the games:

This one is free, but crappy res and ad popups all the time.

I know how you feel. I won't be able to watch many matches either this time since NBC picked up the cup from Setanta, but I will be watching France's matches at a pub downtown. Contact a local pub or rugby club to see if there are viewing parties. Be wary of pubs as you shouldn't have to pay entry just to watch. Some will try to normally charge you $20 entry fee, but one I go to will only require you to drink and eat. You should only have to pay for that and nothing more. Also, remember that most pubs will have delayed viewings, so find out when those will be by contacting them first. A shame that we're going from watching all 48 matches for $15 in HD on television to picking and choosing at pubs or paying an arm and a leg for online streams.

I'm an overseas Kiwi myself and when I first read that Universal Sports and NBC won the broadcasting rights for 2011 and 2015, I considered it good news.

I just now looked at what it is (the final isn't even live, $24.99 to watch a single match on an online stream) and am horrified by it. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but that's... pathetic coverage.

TRF need get some broadcasting rights..id pay to watch rugby on my fav rugby site..just an idea:D..
