A lot of snow in Warsaw as well. We were driving through Serbia on Sunday and it was hardly snowing there too

All pure slush here today,
It rained heavily for hours yesterday before the heavy snow started so everything was already water logged, gonna be horrible when all this properly melts

Not as horrible as if it all froze with sub-zero temperatures. So melting is much better

Neither of my kids have even seen snow (other than on the TV)

We had a little flurry but could only get a small snowball off a car that was really just an ice ball.

Yes,cold is better than heat in general (barely can physically stand when it's higher than 25°C). But perfect is something between +15°C and +23°C. We've been to Athens to celebrate this NYE and it was +14°C +16°C there and a lot of sun,very unusual as for a winter,but amazing.Then went back through North Macedonia,Serbia and Slovakia and it was colder and colder and colder ...
-30°C is disgusting,agreebut when I was a child,I lived in a place with -45°C -50°C and it was much worse, incredibly cold. Can't imagine how people live somewhere like in Oymyakon where it can be -61°C -71°C
