What book are you currently reading?

Meh, in fairness to Meyer, her story so far (40 pages o.0) isn't that bad. Her writing is Godawful though; it's blatant that she searched for Word's synonyms when writing her stories...

Bad writers rely on adjectives. O_O

The Little Red Riding Hood

Twilight - That's probably the most annoying 400 pages of writing I've ever read.
It started off well.
Until it became a cliché-ridden cluster of jealousy, lust, pro-male ideologies and "lolz i r teh dangerous and u r teh idiot for luffin' me", all wrapped in a shroud of terribly written descriptions, poor character building and relationship development and an entire lack of story.
Seriously, if you even decide to read this for teh lulz (which was my reasoning to be honest), don't expect to come across anything interesting until page 340-something... God knows how these books became so popular. I guess teenage girls (and male gays) prefer men to be perfectly built, vampires and have absolutely no definite personality characteristics that sets him apart from any character in any book... Sad really.

I feel like re-reading the Harry Potter series, might do it over the summer.
Currently reading "What a Carve Up!" and I'm loving it. One of the first novels they made me read that don't make me go "ugh, I'll read it tomorrow".

i was just super bored, and harry potter 1 just happened to be the closest book to me...plus it's not a bad series

I would like to read 'Broken Sky' again, but i've already read the entire series 7 times xD

Just finished Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four."
What an awesome book. 'Nuff said.

It's indeed a god book, but it always makes me feel somewhat depressed.

Read The Satanic Verses, not sure yet but I doubt it will top What a carve up! in my 2009 most loved books top ten

One Step Ahead - Rod Macqueen, then I'm going to read Two Mighty Tribes, about the history of Australian v New Zealand Rugby.

You've read ten books this year already? o_0[/b]

Not a chance, but luckily there's still some 2009 left so I'll be able to catch up XD I doubt I'll remember in December which book I loved the best though.

Reading the most recent Ross O'Carroll-Kelly book. He's now the manager of the Andorra National Rugby team...

Professor made us all buy a new book by a Flemish Author who will be delivering a speech or something alike on its subject after Easter Break.

WHY do all these young whipper snappers writing 'serious modern literature' feel the need to add sex? At least give it a function or a meaning in your book you know! Does it change anything to value of a book to add a side-thought about a peach resembling a c*** somewhere randomly?

So basically I read 80 pages of white noise, nothing happens, people just are :s
