Am I the only one who thought this was going to go in a completely different direction? It definitely has the ***le of a rugby tour story to Wales...

I was always much better at speaking Irish than writing it.

Hope you did well LydiatesGirl

lol no thats when we mention sheep :L

I have to do a French oral next year as part of my A-Level course.

I would make a comment about Welsh being harder than French but that would be obvious and filthy.

Welsh oral is easy ....

Only because its my first language.

Dwin hoffi ware Rygbi a mae Cymru yn wich am ware Rygbi!

Is Welsh a compulsory subject like Irish?[/b]

Well every primary school is meant to teach all kids basic Welsh. There are Welsh medium primary schools and the same for Secondary schools also. So its an option.

Good Luck

Remember: nothing you can do better for yourself and for surroundings other than good education ;) honestly

I will remind you Big LENIN's words: study study and again study :p (joke)

Ah good old Lenin. Always had a soft sport for him. And Trotsky. Pretty much anyone except Salin ni the arly years of communism.

Anyway I have to do two orals myself this year, German and Irish. German is a sinch, I can pretty much plan out the whle thing beforehand. Irish though, well I'm properly screwed. Think ordinary may be the way to go if this keeps up.

does welsh have as much irritating grammar as gaelic?

I've got to learn all the f***ing irregular verbs for a test tomo and it's taking looong. gheibheadh e = he would get. am faigheadh e? = would he get?... just a little example of how it makes no f***ing sense.

Irish Gaelic or Scottish Gaelic? They're very similar(both of those words are in Irish). The grammer is a ***** though. The irregular verbs just mess with my head.

Dwin hoffi ware Rygbi a mae Cymru yn wich am ware Rygbi![/b]

Do you mean: Dwi'n hoffi chwarae Rugby, ac mae Cymru'n chwarae'r gem yn wich. :p

Edit: treigliadau are a *****, aren't they? You're doing what I used to and over doing them. The only rule I know is that words change after: am, ar, at, tros, trwy, tan, i, wrth, o, hyd, heb, gan. Sticking with that seems to get me by ok.

There isn't too much difference between Irish and Scottish at all, but the accent makes it a *****, it's hard enough to understand people from Ulster speak as Gaeilge go tapaidh, I'd have no chance understanding a scot speaking Scottish (if any still do outside of education)
