Screwing up all your chances doesnt mean you deserve a victory. Samoa was immense, incredibly unlucky for the islanders.[/b]
Yeh, Wales screwing up all their chances doesn't mean they deserve a victory, but Samoa screwing up their chances means they do.

For one, i didnt say that.

The quote was "Mehh tbh Wales should have won by at least 2 tries, just we managed to screw up every chance that came our way"
I dont think you "should" win because you screw up your chances. do you?
[/b][/quote]
You said Samoa were 'incredibly' unlucky. How is that different to saying they deserved something more? And for the record, thingimubob said nothing about us deserving the win, either.

He said they should have won, which is pretty much the same thing.

And Samoa came very close to beating a 6 nations team, they didnt. Hard luck. Unlucky for them.

Thats what i meant.

That was THE most frustrating game ever. How many chances did we screw up with simple, schoolboy errors. We did OK up-front and Hook looked dangerous and Biggar did well against a team twice his size. Need a massive improvement for next Saturday.

Andy Powell is just not good enough, Gat see this!!

Roberts and Shanklin isn't working

Get GAV back!

Shanklin seems to be the weak link in that midfeild, he is to similar a player to Roberts, which is fine if you play on bulldozing through defences but if you want to play a more expansive game you need a quicker 13. Davies looked good when he game on and I'd like to see him start at 13 against the Argies.

Shanks seems to have broke his nose! So be alright to see what Davies can do.

I totally agree that either him or Roberts have to go.

I think we can learn alot from this game. Up front, we're just not quite there yet. Tight head is obviously a majour concern for the Argies match, not quite sure what we can do to solve that problem either without moving Gethin across the front row to add a certain amount of stability. Very unfair on Gethin, who is also bound to struggle on the th, but he may be able to just do enough to secure our own ball. It's a big dilema for Gatland, who may well stick with Paul James who's worked his socks off to be fair.

The next big thing that needs changing is the backrow. Martyn will come back in at 7, Ryan will stay at 8. But for the love of god, please drop Powell Gatland! It'll be interesting to see who comes in. Jonathan Thomas is probably in pole position to reunite the backrow of 08. However, Warberton could fit in there aswell. I know he dropped a couple of balls etc. Sat, but I was still impressed. His work-rate is phenomenal, coupled with great open field running and good support work. The foundations are there for one hell of a player, a few more caps and he won't be making those mistakes. Or does Gatland give Lydiate a chance. Big things expected from this young lad who's not long back from breaking his back 18 or so months ago!

In the backline. Stephen of course comes back at 10. In a way, Shanklin's broken nose is a blessing in disguise, as it now forces Gatland to start Davies. I was impressed with Jonathan Davies for the 30min he was on the field. He did more in that time than Shanks has done all season imo. Wing spots will be interesting. Both Halfpenny and Tom James had good games on Sat, although Halfpenny was the buysier of the two. James might edge Halfpenny out, due to his size. Hook will most likely retain the 15 shirt, but he needs to find his support after making those breaks!

Dissapointed with Sat. We need to be more clinical after making the breaks, and we need to sort out the tackle area!

i agree, Shanks is past it now for country although he still plays quite well for Blues

my mate just saw this and has told me to say that "no-one replaces Shanklin"

Well John Davies made a good show at trying to do just that.

yup and he will replace him. although shes going to have to accept change pretty soon - according to her nobody can come in for lee Byrne, Shane Williams, Tom Shanklin, Martyn Williams, Stephen Jones or James Hook

That ones a bit odd as Hooks only in the squad at the moment because Byrnes injured...
Don't get me wrong he's a good player, but hasn't really got a role in the squad, he's like a jack of all trades, master of none, not quite good enough to start at FH, centre of FB, unless there's an injury
