Anyway, Northampton are always coming up with a hairbrained scheme to thwart their opposition of victory.

It's true.
Against Bath they attached chains from the heels of the Bath players boots to a lampost so when they tried to run they were stuck,
Against Harlequins they went with painting a tunnel on the side of a mountain, so when they tried to go through it they hit the wall,
With Tigers they went with the tried and tested rockets-and-rollerskates
