Connacht have completed the signing of winger Fetu'u Vainikolo from Super Rugby franchise the Highlanders.

I like how there are people on Planet Rugby saying that it's a great signing... Have they seen him play..?

Imagine you were playing Rugby 2012 and went to create a player; you max out speed, tackle break, evasion, acceleration and then run out of points to spend on any other skill. Thats this guy.
Sounds like a Super 15 player then. Connacht could do with one of them.

He is a great signing... for Otago and the Highlanders, as it means he is almost as far away from us as possible ;)

He can score tries from anywhere... unfortunately ever time he catches the ball (which is not actually that often) he will try to score a try, even if he is inside his own in-goal area... He's not a big fan of defense either - he's the sort of player that might be worth one try per game for your team, but will undoubtedly concede three!

This news made me laugh. I wonder how much they paid him?

Connacht don't have much of a budget so it can't be a large amount but its hard to imagine someone moving across the world for a pittance.

I think the fella might actually enjoy playing rugby  the lure of first team rugby up north and a moderately better wage was probably enough as he isn't getting a look in down under this season it seems :/
