I don't know if you have a section in this forum for useful tips, but here is one for you.
Ever wanted to post a youtube video to demonstrate something, but the video is 10 minutes long and you have to tell the reader where to find the right bit. Well, there is a way to post the video so that it starts exactly where you want it to when the reader clicks the play button on the embedded video.
What you need to do is add "&start=n" after the youtube ID, where n= the number of seconds into the video that you want it to start playing.
Example:
Here is a highlights video of what is widely considered the greatest rugby match ever played... Wallabies v All Blacks, Sydney 2000. Usually, You would just paste the YouTube URL into the "Insert Video Clip" dialog box and get this result
But what I really want to do, is show Jonah Lomu's match-winning try at the end. The action leading up to the try begins at 3 minutes & 3 seconds into the video. 3m3s = 183 seconds, so that it where I want the video to begin.
First, use the video button as per normal, but add... &start=183 after the URL, like this;
Click OK then Preview the post. You must preview the post before proceeding, otherwise the BBCode will not be set up correctly.
Now go to your post edit window, and you should see the BBCode line looking like this;
Note it has your start time set at the end of the URL, but it also needs to be immediately after the video ID in the BBCode itself, so
When you submit the post, this is the result
[video=youtube;heoO_5MvZ0w&start=183]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heoO_5MvZ0w&start=183[/video]
The video starts 3min & 3sec into the action

I tried posting this in the Forum Feedback Section but for some reason it doesn't work there, presumably because the permissions or the BBCode setup there isn't configured correctly right.
