I recon you could make a side out of the NZ players unlucky not to get a super contract this season. Enough I think to make a competitive super rugby side. Though I'll need some help.

1 ?
2 ? edit: Jason Rutledge - I think I missed him to start with because I still can't believe he didn't get in.
3 ?
4 ? lock options? couple of the young waikato locks started to look really good as basically the whole team did finishing the season as one of the strongest sides but I'm sure there are other options.
5 ?
6, Matt Van Leven not getting a super contract is an absolute truckload of bullshit. He is seriously good and has a big presence on the field, huge work rate and can even add impact off the bench.
7, Dan Braid? Sean Polwart actually started to impress me this last ITM cup.
8, Alex Bradly, Rory Grice - finally started to show his potential can play 6 as well.
9 ?
10 ?
11, Stowers
12 ?
13 ? Hayward would be here but he did get a contract in Aussie. Save Tokula?
14, Tim Mikkelson, actually no shortage of options.
15, Kurt Baker, Kaka, Ensor?

They should go and play for the Kings to get exposure, all would probably walk into the team

strange it was really easy for my to pick loose forwards and outside backs. seems to be an area NZ rugby has a huge amount of talent in.

sure you guys must have some better options or be able to fill in the gaps?

it showed in this years ITM cup, loads of high scoring games, games with seven or eight tries but still decided by only a few points

1.Paea Fa'anunu
2.Jason Rutledge
3.Campbell Johnstone
4.Andrew van der Heijden? Jack Whetton had a couple of good performances.
5.Filo Paulo
6.Rory Grice
7.Sean Polwart/Daniel Braid
8.Genesis Mamea
9.Nemia Kenatale?
10.Michael Hobbs
11.Telusa Veainu/Sherwin Stowers
12.Cardiff Vaega
13.Save Tokula (I'm not convinced about Tokula, but there aren't a lot of options here)
14.Maritino Nemani/Ben Lam
15.Kurt Baker

did that Daniel Odongo guy get a contract somewhere?

Save Tokula does have the odd hole in his game but the guy breaks lines and clocks up meters big time, you would think the big guy would be worth a shot, even if he is a bit rough.

Agreed, he is just like Nemani and Naholo in that regard. Bit rough but worth a punt on due to natural ability.

Actually would have liked to see Adongo get a contract - certainly better than Romana Graham.

Joe Edwards
Sam Prattley
Simon Lemalu
Robbie Malneek
Derek Carpenter
Suliasi Taufalele - not really unlucky to pick up a contract, just unlucky that he had Schwalger playing in the same team. Had he gotten more playing time, I think he'd easily pick a contract up.

have to add Scott Waldrum into the mix as well, shame he got injured I think he started to show in ITM cup just how good he can be he was huge in Taranaki's early to mid season form till he was injured.

need more options for props, locks and 10, 12 :)

I think he's still under contract with the Bulls

Daniel Adongo has apparently signed with Kaizer Chiefs for the upcoming rugby 7's premier leaugue to be held in George middle December. WOuld like to see what he can do with some extra space against less organised defenses. That said, the side also has Breyton Paulse in there so I don't know how serious they are taking things..
