United v Liverpool

Some being the key word. I would however, advise you that in last week's league table, "The People's Club" had more arrests and more hooligan orders out than your neighbours. Perhaps he who lives in a glas house should not throw stones.

(not that I;m saying you're a hooligan.)

There are a fair few Evertonians who are right nasty c*nts...we have some scumbag fans and there are times when I'm ashamed to share an allegience with them. It just feels like whenever it's liverpool fans who are misbehaving the fans and the media all close ranks to make excuses/denials. It doesn't fit with the lazy journo witty-heart-of-gold-but-slightly-scally koppite image.

It's hopelessly oney-eyed and makes all the "we are the bestest most unique fans in the world" stuff a little bit grating.

But Teh Mite, are you sure it was Liverpool Fans, and not the Army of Truth!!!

I just object to his use of the word Scousers.

"I've been in this country for three years so I know all about the rivalry between Everton and Liverpool, but everywhere I go in Liverpool, the football fans I meet are all Everton fans,"

"The bigger part of people in Liverpool all support Everton. Liverpool have fans in Europe and everywhere else, that's why Anfield is always full. But when you go to Goodison, it is just full of Liverpool people. It is all Scousers."
[/b]

Oh don't worry about it, he's hugely discrimative.

How's the head, Teh Mite?

Painful... I have a huge blood spot in my left eye that I'm getting worried about, my nose is badly mashed up, possibly fractured and my neck is f***ed again. Starting to think ******** to watching this football lark. It's too dangerous.

On the plus side, I still pulled yesterday even if my face looks like it's been through a cheese grater.

Fair enough Sir but I put it to you that they were some of the finest photoshop efforts you'll come across!

It must have taken Bluekipper all of 4 minutes to come up with that! ;)

Well if you are going to give people the letters Y,N,W,A,T,H,E,K,O & P to work with what do you expect?

Nothing else, from across the park ;)

Serious problems with abuse on Sunday again by the way - 90 minutes of Hysel and Hillsborough songs.

I know there's no perfect set of fans but when it comes to United they really are dreadful, just look at the Celtic game, United fans were booing just cause the Celtic fans, obviously a bit sectarian in nature I know, were singing You'll Never Walk Alone, same thing on Sunday, it's pathetic. I don't know why the FA though don't do anything about the Heysel and Hillsborough songs, that's just out of order.

It's a can of worms the FA don't want to acknowledge. The Mancs will just say they were only responding to the Shipman/Munich/George Best taunts. The problem is footy fans, as a unit are a bunch of knobs. I'd certainly not say the mancs or rednoses are any worse than anyone else just as I'd not say Evertonians are any better than anyone else (far from it).

The problem is this particular tie is turning into a downward spiral...the sh*t's hitting the fan (literally) and the FA are still trying to pretend that this sort of thing doesn't happen in Premier League footy.

Media ignorance is also a part of it, commentators hear these songs and just say what a great atmosphere there is in the ground, try actually listening to some of the songs then, even presenters and pundits say nothing when they're in the ideal position.

Correct.

Head in the sand from the FA. The abuse is dreadful at Old Trafford. They are absolutely obsessed with us - even last night, Jon Otsemobor, who played 3 games for Liverpool, was jeered and abused for 90 minutes and had "Murderer" chanted at him.

They are a bunch of small time cockney gobshites.

I'm not saying this for saying it's sake, but at the very hostile FA Cup game against them last year some of the Sunday newspapers dobbed us in for (the absolutely disgusting and reprehensible act btw) singing songs about Munich. Only after being goaded for 90 minutes by the most disgusting chant of all - "96, not enough."

But did that get mentioned? Oh no. The media are too scared of upsetting the legions of United fans and Slur Alex, in case he won't give the interviews.

how can someone as big as you teh mite, always manage to get beat up?

i dont get it?

i mean ur not exactly small, but u seem to gt beat up every month.

What's the answer though? I'm sure the Mancs would say the abuse is terrible at Goodison/Anfield and they'd be right. They got battered after the recent cup games at our grounds...real nasty stuff. It's natural, though not excusable, that when we come to their place they are going to give it back. How can we complain when they got showered in poo at Anfield and had to endure something akin to the battle scene in Last of the Mohicans when getting herded out of Goodison.

Someone's going to get hurt. It's been brewing up for a few seasons now. It's a game of footy for f*cks sake.
