U20 6 Nations 2025

I remember the 90s.

Speak for yourself. I had no hope under Gatland but I have a little bit now as performances have improved, even though you are blind to it, in the last 2 games. I fancy us to put in a similar performance as we did against Ireland. We may still come up short and there's some things I don't like about the team but I'm optimistic that I'll see us play some good stuff and hopefully run them close which is a hell of a lot more than I ever expected under Gatland.
You say I'm blind to it but fully ignore statistical evidence that proves you wrong...

When Wales are 15 v 15 they are absolutely non competitive, the 2 periods we've seen some play and scored are:

Irish red card and Scotland up by 25 and replacing their first teamers after the game was won.

We lost the 2nd half to Ireland 17 -0 and conceded 4 tries in 28 mins against Scotland.

These performances are bad, and tier 2 nations fans celebrate this way when losing with a bit of pride. Now new coach bump is 100% a thing, and there may be a slight increase in workrate and effort, but you are kidding yourself if you think we have been competitive!

Mate, Australia scored 40 odd points when we had a man advantage for 40 mins and we were at home. That's where we were. Not being able to COMPETE with Italy, this is what you're ignoring. Sherratt, in 2 sessions, got us to compete with Ireland and we got 2 losing bonus points against Scotland away from home (though I admit we were outplayed for most of that game to be fair)

Ok now this I can agree with, Sheratt hasn't been a total disaster which I was half expecting to be honest.

But if we played Italy right now, or Aus they would easily beat us.

The point we are arguing is that you believe the players are good enough and Gats was the problem (or maybe your praying) and I'm saying Gats had to go, but the players are not good enough.

I genuinely think we have a tier 2 nation squad, junior development has been a disgrace for a number of years and we are paying for it.

I have 0 hope of winning games until we develop top class players, whereas you have some hope a new coach can turn the ship...

I have never wanted to be wrong more in my entire life hahahahaha

Tier 2 nation doesn't play that Ireland game or get 2 losing bonus points at Murrayfield. Gatland made our players look worse than they are. He failed the number one job any coach shouldn
do which is to make you greater than the sum of your parts.

That's harsh, Gatland literally had a gate named after him, he returned to the mess as the messiah, he was always going to be up front, as he was in his first stint.

Look at world class coaches in recent history, they are all brands... Pep, Mourinho, Billacheck, Ferguson, Jackson. None were anonymous

Mourinho is a great example. Another yesterday's man who is at Fenerbache now. Just like how Gatland won't ever get a head coach job at a top country again

The England players will be feeling that their world has caved in this morning, but for the few that go on to challenge for senior international honours it'll turn out to be one of their most valuable learning experiences.
