Hey lads! it's thursday already, which means we are very close yet another round or thrilling, mindblowing rugby. The Super15 has reached round 5. In the last few rounds we have seen the Sharks win 4 from 4, the Brumbies disappointing with only 1 win and last week the Rebels got 2 bonuspoints when they lost 32-34 at home. In the prediction game we have seen some absencies but with all due respect, everyone will miss a round or 2. I really hope you guys are up for the challenge again and I saw some of you already gave their prediction mind another try. After an idea brought to mind by stormer2010 (Thanks for that, mate) I have now decided that people who forget to predict, will get "bye points" which are equal to the lowest points scored by an individual that round. That way, you guys don't fall to far behind when you forget to predict. In this new system some participants have climbed up the log with those bye-points a bit. Also Jer1cho, who only played the first round, has gotten some points closer to the other teams on the log, making it more fun for him and maybe giving just that nodge in the good direction he needs to start predicting again. In round 5 we have a good old 7 matches to predict. The Sharks travel to Hamilton to face the Chiefs after their double-win in Australia. The Reds come back from the bye in round 4 to face the Rebels while the Highlanders return from South Africa to invite the Crusaders over for dinner in Dunedin. Way up north, the Blues will face the Hurricanes in Auckland where both teams are trying to catch up to the teams playing South. The second South African team to travel through the timezones this round are the Cheetahs who go to Sydney to try and snatch a win against the Tahs who will be well rested after recovering from their beat-down in Nelson with a bye. The Lions host the Western Force who are without Pocock and Sidey while the round concludes with a re-match of last year's final between the Bulls and the Stormers. Last year it was played in Soweto due to FIFA regulations which stated every stadium used in the World Cup should be handed over to the FIFA. This time though, the Bulls will be back in Pretoria. Some questions for you guys to think about while predicting the matches of round 5: - Will the Sharks be able to snatch a 4-try bonus point away from home for the 3rd consectutive time? - Did you know that the Stormers claim the second place on the log with only 1 try scored this season? - Will the Highlanders and the Crusaders score more points individually this time thant they did together in 2009 (6-0 for the Highlanders)? - Will the Lions finally beat the Western Force for the first time at home? - Did you know, the last 2 times the Blues and Hurricanes played each other in Auckland, the team with the most tries, ended up losing anyway? Well, enjoy predicting and here is the schedule for this weekend: ***Please be sure the predictions are in before kick-off***
NZ Time: AU Time: SA Time: UK Time: Home Team: Away Team: Stadium: 18/3/2011 19:35 18/3/2011 17:35 18/3/2011 8:35 18/3/2011 6:35 Chiefs Sharks Waikato Stadium, Hamilton 18/3/2011 22:40 18/3/2011 20:40 18/3/2011 11:40 18/3/2011 9:40 Reds Rebels Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane 19/3/2011 17:30 19/3/2011 15:30 19/3/2011 6:30 19/3/2011 4:30 Highlanders Crusaders Carisbrook, Dunedin 19/3/2011 19:35 19/3/2011 17:35 19/3/2011 8:35 19/3/2011 6:35 Blues Hurricanes Eden Park, Aucland 19/3/2011 21:40 19/3/2011 19:40 19/3/2011 10:40 19/3/2011 8:40 Waratahs Cheetahs Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney 19/3/2011 4:05 19/3/2011 2:05 18/3/2011 17:05 18/3/2011 15:05 Lions Western Force Ellis Park, Johannesburg 19/3/2011 6:10 19/3/2011 4:10 18/3/2011 19:10 18/3/2011 17:10 Bulls Stormers Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria
