TRF Rugby 10 Patch

JDV I am honestly checking the thread every 5 minutes. Can't wait for you to bring out the next update.

jdv cant u put up a roster for the super 15 season, just for the 14 teams as on 08? And a star for sb williams perhaps?

Why should Sonny Bill get a star, Digby Ioane is equally as damaging as him as is Robbie Fruean, it's ridiculous to give him a star just because he's always on the news.

@Woldog
Ioane? Is that a joke?! The reason SBW is on the news all the time is because he plays for the best Super 15 team, his offloading skills are second to none and you could hardly compare him to Ioane who hardly gets in to the Ozzzie line up and plays on the wing! Plus SBW is a bloody good player and deserves a star.

can someone tell me when the new super 15 mod is going to be released please thanks?

hi intercept king could you please post a pic of what both folders are meant to look like becasue when i try load the roster it says "unable to load roster".

Hi JDV, you may have resolved this with your last atch but please make sure that the new patch sorts out the problem of the big teams doing badly in tournaments and small teams doing well. ie. my current elite div on world league consists of blues, ulster, llanelli, etc whilst crusaders, brumbies, sharks, bulls are in div 3. also, a RWC won by beating Portugal, Namibia etc in knock out rounds is boring. Thanks, mate.

when are you going to stop applying pressure on the modders?patience man!!!all of us is waiting the update!!!!specialy you hiragana!!!you have 7 post...and the same question

Guess you haven't noticed he's the number 1 choice for 13 this year for the wallabies... and is almost always a first choice player, what's the point of giving a star to someone one who has superber offloading skills... Digby Ioane has broken more tackles this year than SBW and Digby has hardly touched the ball....

Does Digby play 12 as well as 13?
Would love to see him and AAC in the same squad, but I think AACs best positions are FB or 13 (and he wouldn't/shouldn't displace Beale at FB)

Digby is the Man...This guy is the meanest tackler breacker. He pretty strong too,im sure he can bench more then SBW too....SBW bench 140kgs and Ioane bench 180kgs and Ioane also did 26 reps @95kgs his own body weight...

Digby can play 12 and has done so on a few occasions, he uses his full potential at 13 though, he seems wasted on the wing, Digby is also a competent flanker, as he's played there for Sunnybank before.

Woldog let me first point out that I am no ozzy nor kiwi but an english neutral and I can clearly see you are a reds fan and respect you for defending your own, I would have done the same.

You are right in saying Ioane hardly touched the ball, he wasn't even in the touring squad for Hong Kong and the Spring/Autumn tour! So how can he be first choice?! Even if he was injured, how can you now say he is first choice as he hasn't even played!

Why is SBW different? Because he is a unique player. For his size, the skills he can bring onto the pitch are quite amazing. Did you watch the Sharks vs Saders at Twickenham, if not I suggest you do so. He can carry the ball easily with one hand, whilst being tackled and not even looking at the receiving player, yet he still finds supporting players like its childs play. This is key to New Zealands off loading game on which they have built a fantastic team. Yes Digby is strong and fast but breaking tackles requires no skill at all, just strength and the ability to run, the player that really made use of this god given talent was Lomu, and Ioane is nowhere near Jonah Lomu. Why? Because defence nowadays is much better coached and utilised in open play, teams often rely on their rock solid defence, which back in the day wasn't the case. As a result a player has to be more than a hard hitter, you have to have skill and guile to work the opposition defence, open up gaps and play in supporting players just as NZ and SBW do.

I know this first hand being an england supporter that trying to bash through opposition doesn't work, pre martin johnson era for example.

I am afraid Woldog that long gone are the days of the massive outside centre bashing through opposition defences, Nonu, SBW, Banahan etc all have great footballing skills other than the odd broken tackle. I am not saying Ioane doesn't have these skills, but he clearly isn't rated alongside SBW as Robbie Deans openly admitted that he tried to get SBW to register for Australia. I reckon if you aksed any neutral fan, they would say that SBW is a far more complete and better centre than Ioane.

Digby dislocated his shoulder after being first choice 14 for all the games leading up to the Tri-Nations...(Your damn English team broke him by taking him out in the air :()
As for asking any neutral fan alot of them wouldn't have seen as much of Digby as I have, and I've seen a hell of a lot of Digby and SBW, both a great players, however both would deserve stars, Ioane is one of the fastest players of his size, he's strong, he regally breaks 4 tackles before being brought down. As for saying SBW is a more complete Center, Digby has been chopped and changed throughout his career.
Deans openly admitting that he tried to get SBW for Australia is nothing, SBW plays 12, Ioane plays 13, almost completely different skill sets.

12. has to have some of the best defence and offloading skills something Sonny Bill obviously has
13. Has to have brute strength and a fantastic leg drive along with speed and incredible balance.
As for who is the better player the only way it will be proven is when Ioane and SBW come head to head.
SBW no doubt has better defence than Ioane that's a given, however Ioane's runs are much more damaging and teams are generally more threatened by Ioane than SBW.

However the real reason I pointed this out is that SBW skills don't translate well into game, offloading and all that is all very well, but ingame the only real star talents are kicking and tackle busts, they're the only noticeable ones anyway. And for one neither Ioane or SBW can kick to save their lives.

I'm not entirely sure....but I think flyboy146 tried to argue that Banahan is a better centre than Ioane....*head explosion*

I think it's best to compare the two from the non-rugby-supporter point of view. I am a Sharks fan and saw what SBW did to us, but I have also seen what DI can do. At the moment SBW might just be playing in a side that is perfect for his style. I doubt that he would be so effective in most of the other S15 sides. SBW needs support and if he doesn't get it, his offloading-superskill is a waste. However I would recommend you look at what the people that don't know anything about rugby say:

You do of course realize Wikipedia is edited by general members of the public right?

That said I'm friends with Digby Ioane in real life so I'm more biased towards him.

All this talk about Ione being massive bosh merchant.. This flyboy character does realise that Ione is 5'10 and 90kgs right...

Ione has consistantly been among the best attackers in Super rugby since he was with the Force, he is the total package when it comes to running the football: acceleration, speed, strength, leg drive, agility, composure, vision. His work in broken play with little time and space to work with is particularly special, he really reminds me of an NFL running back sometimes in his abiltiy to find impossible seams in walls of defenders.
Mentioning Banahan in the same sentance is insulting, let alone implying that hes a better player?

I will say that he hasn't looked the same after returning from injury this year though.. In that play where Cooper cross kicked in his own goal i would have put my house on Digby having the pace to score the length of the field try. Then when the cover got to him he wasn't able to beat his man, it was really out of character and quite worrying for the Wallaby supporters i would imagine.
