I'm running windows 7 and i did get the error on the last but i knew this one was coming soon so i deiced to wait ans see id it would happen on this one.

Well then the only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with your Administrator settings...right-click on the .rar archive ->security tab->see if your user account has full control over this .rar archive.

Make sure that the roster file that you are editing is in the folder with the same name as the file in the My Documents\EA SPORTS(TM) Rugby 08 location, in other words if the roster file that you're editing name is "Rugby10.ros" it must be inside a folder also named "Rugby10.ros" in the My Documents\EA SPORTS(TM) Rugby 08 location.

I'd finally worked that one out for myself, but thankyou anyway.

And thanks for all your hard work, even if I am now rampaging around editing tons of things (all the tertiary positions and what not, few nationalities, couple of player changes)... you've saved me a lot of the work at least

Either open the be2970b0ada8e42cf891ce60ffe69575.xml that came with this patch, or extract it from the data.gob file(depends on whether or not your are using a patch)
Then change the line:

Bold text = direct changes
Red text = gets deleted

You can change team ratings with Woosaahs Raggasmic 08 Editor, the "new" one.

Don't know were I see it, but I think here could someone help me with this.

I download TRF 10 PATCH and its fantastic, but as always its very easy to win a match. Since I have this game (Buy it in Ireland summer of 2007) I never lost a game, and most points the IA score me was 14 (two tries) and I always win the games with 42-0, 60-0, 28-0, 33-7, 80-0, 42-3...
What I'm looking for is for a rugby 08 more difficult, but no more difficult to me to score a try, I want that the other team scores me more points and get more realistic scores.

Is anywhere some mod or file that could do that, or someone to teach me how to do it please? Really I need it because the game is boring me...

Hi,

I have a little problem with the patch.

I'm playing the WL with the lions in 3rd division and its the 3rd match versus Leeds in his home, and when I click on Next Match it says this:

Abort Message
Async load of handle 474d8471765e6d21f94690212c3f893a.big (20816) failed.

What the hell is that!? I cant play that match because always throw me to desktop. I try with all home and away kits but nothing happens...
Someone can help me please?

I'm constantly looking into ways to make rugby 08 harder, but its not a very easy thing to do...

Yes I'm sorry about that error, it has to do with the assignment of the Leeds home stadium, I did fix it in the fixture file but I also only realized now that the game coded it into the rdf file as well, I'm going to upload the stadium files that the game needs to load that stadium in the next few minutes, will be on the 1st page under "important & useful" downloads.

I think installing a "fresh" version of the game would do the job...you can still apply the crack after you installed the game.

There should be threads somewhere in the "Rugby 08 Mods" forum about that if I remember correctly....as I don't have this game on ps2 I'm not that clued up with the process...

sorry to go a bit off topic, but I just installed the original rugby 08 on mu other PC, because I miss it a bit and wanted to play a couple of games. is there a way to change a team's division like the way we can change it in the updated mod editing the .rsg file?
