TRF 'Meets'

So, just curious. Have there ever been any 'meets' with TRF posters? I've played a fair few online games over the years, and (gasp!) attended a couple of 'meets' due to a MUD that I used to play.(the people were surprisingly normal except for me)

Just wondering if anyone on here had actually met up (who didn't know each other beforehand).

People have tried to organise a team fir 7's tournaments and stuff in the past.

Nope, not me. Would be really really cool though. Well, for some specific individuals, not all !!!

Hopefully it happens one day.

I play this little scenario in my mind where I meet someone at a pub or house party or wtvr one day and gradually discover I know that person through the internet. That would be so fkng awesome, srsly. Like it starts with "oh, you're into Rugby ? that's cool." - slowly moves to "yeah, cause I'm this online forum, and so..." and completely randomly and in a very childlike/naive tone, you just shoot "wait a second, are you on TRF ???!!!" and of course he goes "YES !!!!!! I'm the user 'psychic duck' !!" And then you run, pushing everybody out of your way, get down to the parking, nervously try to get your car key into the hole missing it 10 times in a row from the panic, finally start the thing, drive at 200km/h, roll out of the car and have it fly off the bridge forever into the ocean and book a ticket to Mexico.

I'm not sure who else, but I can speak for myself and say 'my playing days are over', and pretty sure there's a lot of others who's bodies feel the same (although they could have done a hell of a lot better than everybody they've seen on tv lately (in their mind..their bodies will soon take a sledgehammer to their mind to teach it a lesson, and stop it from trying to cause problems)).

I was looking more at 'sit in a pub, drink lots of beer, and watch rugby' kind of meet

Think Zeq and Amo met up a few years ago if I recollect. Draggs and I narrowly missed each other at the RWCQ last year at BMO since he headed up kind of last minute.

Some of the forum membership are friends that know and see each other regularly.

Myself cmac and Big Ginger all know each other in real life and I'm like a father to both of them. I have seen them develop from small hatchlings to mildly bearded anal bandits. I don't think I've met anyone else, but I've probably being near them on numerous occasions.

Believe there was an 'official' meet back in the day, before my time here, but other than that guys have met up at various rugby games n shiz.
I've met up with Mite, Cymro and Getoffmeland when trying out the rwc11 game, and then played 7s against Cymro and cyRil a couple of months ago.

I have caught up with Chris (Mite) , Pete (Prestwick) and Ezeq in the past.

Was really good fun. I don't mind tagging along again but it has been quiet hectic over here this year.

Paris, London, Brussels are easily reachable for me, so if I have time for it, I'm in.
