im trying to convince the mrs to let me buy the complete 17 disk DVD collection of the cartoon. $150.00 NZD.
sure its probably the geekiest thing ive ever bought... but the Generation 1 cartoons bring back sooo much good memories...
theres no way in hell the mrs will let me though... im gonna have to do the old "get it gift wrapped and send it to our house with a fake belated birthday card from mum" trick...

This movie was awesome@!
I was surprised at the amount of humour in it. Good to see Michael Bay do a good job with the film. I was hoping for another great like 'The Rock' and 'Bad Boys'. I was hoping it wasn't going to be a flop like 'Pearl Harbour'. I was really impressed though. First time in a long time that I haven't been let down by the hype.
I really sucked that Bumble Bee wasn't a VW mini, but meh, what can you do if you're not allowed to use it
Great movie to watch if you're young or old imo. Great effects too~

yeah it came out in aus/nz a week before the USA. I wasn't too sure on seeing it but I am dead keen now after hearing good reviews from people that have seen it. also shiznit is right on the money with that 17 box collection set. I want it so badly too.

NOOOO!Don't do it mate, your memories will be shattered. I bought the boxset off ebay and couldn't watch past the 1st few episodes, it's just not the same as it was back when we were kids. That said, the cartoon movie (the one where prime dies) was okay... what the heck, if you don't like it I'm sure you can save it for the kids.
How awesome is the new movie tho :cheers:

A bit crap actually; Take the "Transformers" name out of the ***le and it's a generic action film that nobody would care about.
Michael Bay once again shows how useless a director he is.

I am gonna see the movie tommorrow night, absolutely pumped.....I think I may also buy the 17 disc Transformers disks soon, only $117 dollars! BARGAIN! (I have decided to buy the movie Milo & Otis too...but that's another story....)

Update, Transformers was definetely the shiz, I am def getting the 17 disc set tommorrow to get my Transformers on, it has been far too long!
I have also decided I will draw a picture in paint of Optimus Prime snapping Harry Potter in half...Harry Potter knows why.... :toss:

i got the complete set last week....
i manned up!!... didnt play any tricks at all.... ive been in the doghouse ever since... sleeping in the lounge for the weekend.... all good though.. been watching transformers all weekend... a word of warning though... the set i have doesnt have the animated movie in it... they released a speacial edition movie dvd at the same time for 30 bucks... im in the process of figureing out how to get the movie past the mrs...
