Top 14 day 24

Fabulous, fabulous try from Sinzelle for Stade there as Sexton yet again shows how much he cannot play in France!!!

Score at 44 minutes is 12-25 to Stade without Parisse!!

Ieuan Evans has finally realised, after 45 mnutes have been played, that Parisse "may have had his shirt tugged by LeRoux"!! Brilliant!!!

Machenaud is playing well. He's been excellent all season. Philipps doesn't get a look in.

Parisse has been given the most ridiculous red card I have seen......he went up for the ball with Dulin but LeRoux CLEARLY pulled Parisse's shirt preventinig him from competing and, Parisse, with his eyes on the ball, was pulled round meaning Dulin fell over him. LeRoux should have been red carded for causing the dangerous incident not Parisse who legitimately competed. Ashley Johnson's yellow when Wasps played was far worse and he was totally at fault yet the very same ref only gave a yellow then for that!

yep. Shud have been 2 yellow.

What was your take on the Parisse incident? Machenaud is looking good.....

yellow for Parisse for making contact with Dulin in the air, yellow to Classens for pulling Parisse. at least it would have been a 50-50 call for the ref.

Racing giving away too many penalties

what a defense by Danty. He won that ball in ruck like a flanker. He is a monster for a centre.

Body language of racing players tell me they've giving up. Way way too much back chat to the ref from Racing.

A Courtney Lawes on Sexton....

Great win for SF down to 14 for 60 min

Some cracking tries over the weekend. Sinzelle's try v Racing. Fofana's 2nd try v Grenoble. Toulouse 3rd try. Haven't seen the other games.

Hugely interesting and attractive game played at speed............few too many mistakes from Racing and to a lesser extent SF but enjoyed that!!

Gosh, did not realise Phillips still had some idiot to pay his wages!! Really? Why?!! Proves some people can fool some people all the time!!!

I was suprised to see Machenaud substituted for Philipps who slowed the game down for Racing when they needed to step on it. His delivery is slower and he doesn't attack the fringes like Machenaud does.

I liked it as well even though they're parisians trying to play rugby :p. I like derbys in our league. It wasn't pretty. But derbys rarely are. You knew it was going to be attritional.

have to agree but probably they will squirm there way out by not banning Parisse, so typical of TOP 14 refereeing, why did no one say anything at the time about the jersey pulling it was blatently obvious, the ref was adamant about his timing, if he had had a video ref with any nonce he would have seen his timing was infringed by a le roux pulling his shirt Pechenmerde was no better for us on Sat.

Patoche was far better than usual! Throwing 12 points away at kicking and giving ten points by poor kicking play: No way we can win like that. One more time we aren't paid as we should be away from home: Lyon, SF,Grenoble,Toulon,La Rochelle, Toulouse, Clermont, we'd have brought back more points if sport was a fair affair...
2 finals to save our ass, and make fun of our neighbours :D

Next step, set Lescure on fire with the Txuriurdin Army #WeAreBaiona

Thank you for that!!

All I can say is be careful what you wish for........

Good luck over the next fortnight. It would be sad to see so many players leave the area with Spedding!!

I have been invited to the La Rochelle game!!

The reason Bayonne lost was because of their poor kicking and not lasting the full 80 mins at the end they were knackered and got rolled over by our forwards if anything Pechenmerde was very lenient with Bayonne as they never stopped lying all over the ball to try and contain our fast attacking, they were excellent for 50 mins then ran out of steam. Hope they still stay up as i am against a fusion with BO but if BAYONNE go down it may well happen as BO have found out it is a lot easier to go down than come straight back up the following season and it is a shame that there are no or could be no Basque team in the TOP 14

I felt Racing were robbed the first game we went down to SF but I can't coplain about the weekend. A bonus point would've been nice though as we are sitting precariously at 6th with the rest breathing down our necks!!

It's been frustrating supporting Racing as it feels there is so much potential but the consistency (and a bit of luck) just hasn't been there. I mean we were looking like pushing for a top place in Top14 not long ago now we might not even see the play offs if we can't pick it back up. Then also in Europe we go through to the knock outs as top seeds only to not mke it past the home QF against Sarries after beating English leaders the Saints home and away... just no sort of consistency from one game to teh next. It feels stangely familiar though seeing as I am a Stormers/WP supporter.. maybe it's the type of team I'm drawn too, maybe it's the blue and white hoops, maybe both (or neither LOL).

Also, going down to the boot of Morne Steyn also just felt way too familiar LOL

They were well robbed in their EC 1/4 no question.
They can still qualify and have the squad to bounce back. Laurent Labit had some harsh words agst his players. Their decision to substitute Machenaud though was strange and backfired IMO. Amazing they couldn't take advantage as SF at one stage were done to 13...

Its all about who wants it the most and for that match is was Stade by a country mile they out played Racing for 60 mins with 14 on the park going down to 13 for 10mins, very solid victory under the circumstances, i take back what i said about Parisse not getting a suspension as we play them in Paris next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Racing's defeat didn't go down well with their president Lorenzetti. To be fair the body language of some Racing players, Sexton in particular, was disgraceful. He singled out Machenaud as the only player who did well but was substituted for another useless cameo by Mike Philipps again. I don't know what they see in Philipps.

"From then on we played brainless rugby like we were carrying lead bags on our backs. We were like ghosts. This is bordering on professional misconduct. if I talk of professional misconduct this is because I am from the corporate world".

He talks about 'sanctions' directed at the players even possibly 'economic sanctions' i.e. a pay cut I'd imagine.

Oyonnax look like they are making your flight to Russia a real probability, Gaston!!!
