Top 14 Day 17

Who is the team at the top? Never heard of them before.
..........you go away and look what happens!

gentlemen, please...you're starting to sound downright strange. There's nothing wrong with the way that is spelled............

I go away and you guys start misbehaving......do not do that!! I am here in the spirit.............behave both of you!!

nothing to do with me, little ewis has again stooped to name calling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have done no such thing !! How dare you soil my good name with bizarre volatile claims !!!! Go check again, you're delirious.

much better, i would say a vast improvment, thank God for editing, communication is the weapon of the world. ALLEZ FRANCE.

You are the glue to the T14 Tony. We can't trust Ewis and Gaston to steer the ship. ;)

Have a good time in Aus, and we will try and behave while you are not here, but its not going to be easy, we will try our best to keep off the naughty step!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Full programme next weekend so all the top teams will have their Internationals away with their respective National teams, will let Big Ewis, set it all up in Tony's absence, i'm not very good at that sort of exercise.

I wish (couch potato) but thats not the case, excessive punctuation, is only for you as i know you just luv it and initiation got buckets of that but dont use it on here as you hear the same old stories week in week out, Foreigners, high wages, loss of French Flair, no National team, will they finish above Italy, younsters never given the chance, sorry forgot Frickou is only19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, TOP 14 teams play with no heart, etc etc etc....... just maybe the armchair pundits will now have a go at someone else, France have proved everybody wrong, and that hurts, the scarcasim has stopped and everybody has now become a rugby expert, trying to break down where England went wrong, although one or two did complement the French on their performance. the arrogance has finally gone out of the window well till the next time anyway
FRANCE 6 ENGLAND 0, under 20's guys, under 20's girls, the girls full XV, the French Federale, French Universities and of course the little affair in Paris last night, i believe thats 6 wins and that's a WHITEWASH to boot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well it's good news, but that's all it is (the 6-0 whitewash). And I wouldn't get too excited...we beat England fair and square because they didn't have anymore gas at the end and we scored a fantastic try out of the blue, and that in itself is beautiful for the rest of the way. But England wins that match, trust me, not too many people would worry about the other 5 contests, and everybody would be depressed as hell and saying all those things you mentioned up there again and again.
We need consistency, and that sure ain't won in 80 minutes.

And all those problems you mentioned still are problems, some very big. Right now let's just focus on the tournament. I don't mean to speak too soon, but France Italy we're not losing. After that we're in Cardiff, and that one is tricky tricky tricky. Huge backs, big battle up front, Adam Jones in the scrum, a boot that never misses and an excellent coach and good gameplan. And away of course...huge test for the XV de France !!

The game was won over 80 mins, which France played, they took their chances and it paid off, England had a good spell in the 2nd half, with a 18-0 but in the end they were knackered and nobody got near szarzewski before he threw the pass to Frickou, which says a lot on stamina and speed.
England's bench changes were bad and brought nothing extra to the team. England's strongest point was in the break down they hammered France in this sector around the rucks and mauls, we need to be more aggressive, but the defence was good on the whole bar the Brown try, 4 against 1 he should have been put into touch.
The other contests are important, as morale hits an all time high when this happens (6-0) and remember the under 20's are the Internationals of tomorrow, everybody is at Marcousiss, so the morale is kept high, the players are staying together till Weds when the 25 will be selected for the Italy game the other 5 going back to their clubs for next weekends TOP 14 GAMES
The funy thing is if you read the comments in the France v England threads, all the arrogance and anti French has disappeared, now everyone becomes a pundit telling how Lancaster should have played it, we have no more garlic crusher terms etc, funny how a loss straightens things out.
As far as the Italy match goes if France continue in the same vein they will win, but do not take Italy as an easy task, they are much more than that and have often proved it, plus you have to remember lots of the Italians have played or are playing TOP 14 so they know the French players well.
All these games are massive, and as they say one game at a time but for me the big one is Cardiff against Wales the Championship or even Grand Slam (dream dream) is where it will be won or lost.
Scotland look poor and Ireland although they beat the Scots relatively easily i dont think they will beat France or England, but the Championship is still wide open for 3 teams

England losing in France, that's got to hinder their chances quite badly. But they're getting really good, I'm saying this for the first time because it's true for the first time. I don't think they deserved praising before, especially not the 2013 6N I'd have been very annoyed by the idea of such a lackluster team winning the ***le or even GS, with penalty 3pointers.
And yes, this victory helps sooooo so much I'm very very grateful we won. English fans as we know tend to become arrogant and smell their own farts quite quickly, so a good defeat sets a more quiet, less noisy atmosphere. Much better this way to be honest.

Arrogant definitely, not sure about smelling their own farts, not quite proper "old chap"

So Biarritz are to torment their supporters at the lunatic hour of 20.45 on Friday by failing to turn up AGAIN at home this time for the delayed match against Oyonnax.

It will be a real chance to see if Blanco has any back bone and is prepared to back his brave words that "heads will roll" after their capitulation against Bayonne and every other team this season..............personally, I do not see it!!

Changing the the course of the season as regards relegation is impossible but this is the first of many chances to see the relegated side try and change the culture of too much money for too little effort, desire, and competitveness if it will not, overnight, demonstrate that Biarritz have many men in their team with true talent but, as said elsewhere, team solidarity and desire have done Bordeaux no harm this year!

HEADS WILL ROLL...oh yeah?

Team for tomorrow so spot the difference.....

Does Eugene, wear both shirts 17 and 23 and which one is on top 17 or 23 i know the rats are deserting the sinking ship but but poor Eugene having to fill 2 positions on the bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks more like a pensioners XV or maybe a Blanco and friends XV. When he was at Montypellier we only used to give him the one shirt did not realise how good he has become playing for BO.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
