15 -- FB who can play as a FH
23 -- utility BK

9 goes to bench
10 plays as SH
14 plays as FB
15 plays as FH
23 plays as right-wing

Tbf using English players alone you could do that today (taking one liberty of swapping those first two around)

9. Dan Robson (played 10 for 10 min in the 6n for some unknown reason)

10. Ford (played some SH in youth rugby k believe)

14. Watson (covers the whole back 3)

15. Goode / Malins / Lozowski

23. Daly/Nowell/Malins etc

Would Sevens be a good development for SH/FH utility players?

Fitness wise maybe but Sevens has such a different structure, much more free flowing so what you learn might not translate to a more right 15 aside game

No no, Bergamasco was a fairly decent flanker (openside) who for some reason, Italy decided to play at SH when they had a shortage/injury crisis.

So his first ever major game at scrum half was against England at Twickenham......

The only Irish example I can think of is Brian O'Meara.

Legit the worst thing Munster have ever done to us was sending him down, I think... He left Ster when I was 11 and I hated him but he is in our top ten all time scorers.

He played 10 for us one game when we had a bunch of injuries mid-game

Slade too seen him internationally at 12 13 15 and club as all them plus 10 (although not his best)

Rate Malins has played 12 a couple of times for Sarries where he actually looked good, also 10 11 15. He is turning into a proper utility back, hopfully doesnt translate to career bench Warmer

A friend of mine's rugby claim to fame is that he's played every position other than number 8. Only at a coarse rugby level, which is as well, given that after his first scrum at prop, his opposite number said to him "you haven't got a clue what you're doing have you?" and spent the rest of the afternoon coaching him and being careful not to break him.
