Next time I have breakfast i'll test myself

5 sausages
5 bacon
5 eggs
5 toast
baked beans
1 tomato

If I can eat that I'm halfway there and I wouldnt have to feed myself for the rest of the day.

Helens a week before you try this you might wanna practise by cooking yourself a big breakfast such as this one.[/b]

I know I can handle 10 sausages because I've done it before. It's the toast that will be the problem, I reckon and possibly the eggs.

The pudding won't be easy either, unless it's the cheap stuff that looks more like a sausage than proper black or white pudding.

good luck :D
reckon the black pudding will be the hardest, just gotta pace yourself through it I guess.
start eating bigger meals now and it will be easier, got to expand your stomach :)

meant with the black pudding, don't go for it all at once, spread it out through the meal.

The beans are 100% necessary! Imagine having to eat all that with no drink or no beans! Oh and good luck to anybody who takes on that challenge :)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
A spokesman for the British Heart Foundation said: “Eating this amount in one sitting is not a good idea.â€[/b]

How dumb do they think people are if an official spokesperson comes out to say something as stupid as that? Was anyone thinking that eating that amount of food might be healthy?

The time is what worries me most to be honest, only twenty minutes to eat all that? Maybe the trick is not to chew? Or ask the chef to mix everything in a blender, that way you can just drink it (as long as your plate is empty, you won the challenge, right?)

Getting hungry, doubt I'd ever eat a third of that though :p

That's disgusting, and more unexcusably that's a waste of food. In some parts of the world, people would kill for that.[/b]

Hold it right there. There's no guarantee I won't eat it all. I am going in for this by the way, too many people have told me I can't do it, so I will damned well try to!

God be with you...
Take pictures when you eat it!

There is a place in Amarillo, Texas that offers like a 72oz Full Steak Meal on a similar sort of bet.

Now see to me, beans with breakfast is an absolute MUST.[/b]

I believe it's only americans that don't have beans with a cooked brekkie.

And stop putting brown sugar or cinnamon in your beans, you damn Americans! It's supposed to be savoury, not sweet!

Brown sugar? Cinnemon? RC, explain yourself and this sourcery you speak of!

People put the strangest stuff in their food nowadays.

Where are the days you could slave five hours in the kitchen and make chicken soup? Nowadays these young whippersnappers just take out a package of some sort, throw into the pot with some boiling water and they think they cooked a meal!

Anyway, random question: Are fry ups an everyday meal, or is it more like 'it's the weekend and I have time to spend an hour cooking before I actually have breakfast' sort of thing?

My dad said he'd eat the entire plate, and I don't doubt he could, I'm just wondering if he could do it in twenty minutes.

I have a fry up pretty much everyday when im at home. Breakfast at about half ten after two or three hours work. Most of the time its just bacon, eggs and toast but occasionally i go for the whole lot if its not a busy day :D

The only way you can find "normal" baked beans out in america is if you buy a can of 'Pork and Beans' i kid you not!
There's no pork in it, as you may think. No, no. It is not a can of Beans and Pork Sausages, it's just normal beans.
And Heinz don't seem to do beans out there...you have to buy Campbells!
Campbells? They make soup!!!

Your dad is The Big Show?[/b]

Not sure what that means, but he's just capable of eating a lot :p

Doesn't a breakfast like that get boring rather quick if you eat it every day? Not to mention it's not the most healthy thing to eat on a daily basis :p Not that my breakfast is usually much more healthy but still.

America is a strange country. You survived there Matt, so there's still hope!

I think a good old fry up would lose its appeal if I did it every day. Plus my heart would lose a year of its life every week into the bargain!

RC is 100% correct. Baked beans here are sugary sweet and nasty. I hate them here. They are alright over in your part of the globe. Heinz in no way makes bean products here...they make f'n Ketchup!!!!
