Was it bad tonight? Just saw the result and know Cooney kicked winner. Seen comments on ref too

Desperately poor.

While we somehow managed to have lots of possession, the breakdown work was often weak and ineffectual, leading to slow ball - not helped by Doak's rather ponderous style.

Then any backplay was static, consistently exhibiting poor passing and lateral.

Without the ball, our defending was for the most part, soft, narrow and with little line speed.


Not a great mix really.

Doak is a player that seems to have regressed this last year. And he does have the tools.
Ulster hopefully do sort it in the off-season as they are needed.
 
I see stu Lancaster is out of Paris.

Any chance the IRFU get him back and send him up here? Not to coach the professional setup - at least initially - but to sort out the grassroots. Pretty please!
