Anyone looking at getting these games when they come out?

I'm a big fan of both ***les, and eargerly await a game to knock WoW off its pedastel (not that I think either of these games will achieve that, but yi gotta have faith)

I dont get why they couldnt just bring out kotor 3! The first game was my favourite game of all time and it won so many awards. The second was great if not as good. That series is so unfinished! Even if the old republic turns out great i just think do we need it to be an online game?! I want to play my own game not one where random gimps kill me every second ( i know its not quite that sort of online game but still)

I think im just behind the times.

I've enjoyed Halo Reach may consider it when it comes out but thats not for a while yet.

The old republic has me very interested. I used to play wow and I do miss the social aspects of it, but the game itself has fallen apart. Anyone who played it before the 2nd expansion will know that. Also being somewhat of a Star Wars fan got me interested. Then there are other things in it that may bring MMO's to the next level such such as fully voiced quests/mission and a story to go along with it.

Will try TOR when it hits open beta, but I don't think an MMO will grip me the same way my initial stint on City of Heroes did.

...except maybe a Pokemon one.

There is definately room for them to go back to Kotor 3, in my view I think we will see a glimpse of the story of what happened after Kotor 2, and Kotor 3 may involve the rebuilding of the Order, cause one of these days they will have to make a game where you can freely do stuff on Coruscant. How on Earth can you have an entire franchise/ whatever go past, without ever being able to do a little more than a single mission involving the de-facto capital of everything?!?

tor is looking really good, I'll definitely be checking it out in the open beta. Bioware have a pretty good track record making star wars games and with what has been announced so for tor it could be something special. Don't know if it will make a huge dent to WoW but I still think it has a pretty good chance of getting a sizeable userbase.

I'm in two minds about ToR. I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, so I feel somewhat oblidged, but I've always prefered SW games that not only had a good story, but were action games. I still love and play Jedi Knights: Outcast and Jedi Academy (just got back into it) which I've loved since 2003. I also enjoyed Battlefront I and II and even quite enjoyed Force Unleashed (despite it kind of ruining some of the cannon and the main character being way to powerful+poor story line).

KOTOR had a great story, but what bugs me more than anything about these kinds of games, is the lack of actual control of player movements. JK3 was great because you had so much control in terms of fighting as a Jedi. Nothing annoys me more than you hitting something 10x with a lightsaber and their health bar goes down. NO, A LIGHTSABER CUTS YOU IN HALF, NOT DOES 4 DAMAGE!!! Anyway, it's not out for a while in Australia and NZ. I'm sadly more excited about the cutscenes (which look amazing!) and customization than the game play.
