To be fair with Penny it's more of a surprise he's involved at all. Too good for this level really. Probably getting some gametime over christmas so would be weird to start him now.Scott penny only on bench but I must say I saw Sean O'Brien last week he looks like a serious prospect.
That was what I was thinking or will Penny be a victim of Covid and logjam at backrow but agreed on SOB 3rdTo be fair with Penny it's more of a surprise he's involved at all. Too good for this level really. Probably getting some gametime over christmas so would be weird to start him now.
Sean O'Brien the third (fourth?) looks promising. Great offload last week.
They named their side after the covid announcement so I'd imagine as long as their testing turns up nothing else they can play. May have been a player undergoing rehab on a modified program, so the squad may have had relatively little contact. No idea about that though.Covid-19: Two senior Leinster rugby players test positive for coronavirus

Hopefully everyone's okay.
No idea if they have to cancel/postpone games but if they do it really shows the shortened format up for the idiocy that it is.
1 was an international but in fairness to all provinces they have acted swiftly and correctly. Yeah it would be huge. Give us more options at centre with the potential of Hawshaw to come off the bench there as well. Losing both Frawley and Byrne was a bit of a hammer blow.Three players will require further assessment this week before a final decision will be made on their involvement.
Ciarán Frawley injured his shoulder in the warm-up against Glasgow Warriors and will be further assessed as will Cian Kelleher who received stitches to a facial injury in the first half.
Finally, Harry Byrne was removed for a Head Injury Assessment against Glasgow Warriors and will now follow the Graduated Return to Play Protocols this week.
There was no new injury update on the following players who remain unavailable for selection:
Tommy O'Brien (ankle), Adam Byrne (quad), Caelan Doris (concussive symptoms), Dan Leavy (knee), Conor O'Brien (knee), Max Deegan (knee) and Vakh Abdaladze (back)
Expecting a very callow backline this weekend. Having Ross back could be massive.
