Clermont have looked bit shaky so far this season but lads in Munsters group (as is getting common) and Leinsters group it all about who can pick up most points away from home
A quick count shows 10 different schools represented in the 22 player panel. That's a decent spread of talent. The Leinster Schools Under-18 squad, sponsored by BNY Mellon, to face Cardiff Under-18 on Sunday (KO: 1pm) in Glamorgan Wanderers RFC has been named...

A couple of years ago there was a player from Tallaght on the Ireland u19s. I think his name is Kris Greene.Yes but quite a few of those schools are not the traditional powerhouses of Leinster rugby. Monkstown, Kings hos, Gonzaga (McLaughlin aside), Bray. Good to see their names on the list. Looking to see a name from the likes of Naas or Tallaght in a few years. Then we'll know were getting somewhere.
On a different note, since this thread concerns all things Leinster rugby and not just the professional setup:

It's more likely that players from non-traditional areas will make their mark with the underage club representative squads than in the schools setup. There's huge scope for growth in the club game due to Leinster and Irelands success over the last few years. The more Sean O'Briens, Trevor Brennans, Shane Horgans who can eventually force their way into the full Leinster squad, the better.
On the propping situation, apparently Leinster are looking at an Irish qualified player within the country, or at least that's what the Indo says. Who in god's name could that be? Buckley would be the best of the bunch but I can't seehim leaving Munster.
Let's hope is not the Bull then.
Not necessarily. They are looking for an Irish player to fill the immediate gap for the Leicester friendly. On the propping situation, apparently Leinster are looking at an Irish qualified player within the country, or at least that's what the Indo says. It doesnt mean this wil be the same player for the rest of the year.
I'm indifferent either way, but thats how I read the article
I wouldn't mind picking up either Dave Ryan or Darragh Hurley (assuming he can stay fit) since I think both have talent and would be more than capable of stepping in as backup looseheads. That would presuppose that Heinke van der Merwe is a competent tighthead which I've my doubts about.Let's be honest it could be from Munster as we well equipped with props but have heard Hurley may be going and Ryan was mentioned but no concrete evidence. The IRFU politely have told Leinster they won't be given the funding for a prop abroad.
On Leinster's website it says they've signed Simon Shawe of Ballymena to replace Stan Wright. A quick google search says he was an Ulster squad member a few years ago and he's an Ireland club international. Hopefully it works out- it'd be great to see an Irish prop promoted and although Shawe is around 30 years old, it shows the AIL isn't being ignored in identifying potential players.
