The last polemic ...

it's classical and pathetic. They attacked the French for their "well known violent and vicious attitude on a rugby field" all along the week before the final. Like often, the contrary happened during the match. They now try to give Mc Caw a new virginity.

Saw a video on Re:Union earlier clearly showing Rougerie kneeing McCaw in the head then raking at him with his boots near the end of the game.

Sounds fair and clean to me...

I think you mean the headbutt and eye gouge within a few seconds a part. The French talking about dirty play this match amazes me.

Read an article with quotes from Quinn earlier - he sounded like a c**t and the video showed all of nothing

Haven't read any article from Quinn, but I have seen the video on Re:union which pretty clearly shows a headbutt and eye gouge. Shame I can't find a good quality video to post up.

Just seen the video in another thread and it does show the eye gouge

The article I read had a video at the top which just showed the ruck from a distance, and Mccaw wasn't even on the side the camera was, and then Quinn was saying that Dusautoir shouldn't be given the player of the year because he didn't apologise, he said something like "I'm not saying Dusautoir did it, but he was there, and he made no attempt to go up to McCaw and apologise for his teams play"

Right, well that does sound like a stupid thing to say.

Has McCaw complained about the incident?

Don't think so, and I doubt he will. He just won a World Cup, probably has better things to do than write to the IRB. I can't remember him once ever complaining about an incident, whther it be elbows from Hartley, knees from Heaslip and even Cooper. He just seems to get on with it.

Ban him for life i say!! haha kidding

but he head butt him as well, so I think he will get more than 9-12 weeks. Why would player do that nowadays with cameras all over the place.

Brain explosion!

I don't think he's been cited, so I'm not sure there'll be any punishment. I could be wrong.
Well, he got really lucky then. The IRB tend not to be too merciful when banning french players. And it has the aggravating factor of doing it to Richie McCaw...

The ReUnion guys only found it today. The All Blacks camp didn't want to make a fuss about it, and from what I have heard is that they did not intend to make any statement until this report came out....

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/5845375/No-Richie-McCaw-eye-gouge-complaint

The gist of the article was that Dusoutoir had been unfairly implicated, but the All Blacks management knew it wasn't him, so they felt they had no choice but to contact SkyTV and get them to find footage of the real culprit, and it was subsequently broadcast on ReUnion tonight

what about piri weepu's punch on mermoz is that gonna get found

I don't know. How about you find it? If you saw it on Sunday I'm sure you can find it again. It works better than just throwing around accusations with no evidence.
