The Haka in the Champs Elysées

I just saw this on Planet Rugby and thought it interesting to share.

The french army has a rugby team composed exclusively by soldiers from overseas departments and territories (DOM-TOM in french) from the pacific (Wallis and Fortuna, New Caledonia, Tahiti, etc). They did a war dance in the opening of the july 14 military parade that is shown in the following video:

(the beginning is more like a shake-your-ass dance)

The press call it a "haka", which I don't know if it accurate.

Anyway, I find it a bit inappropriate, given that it is supposed to be a war declaration (DOMs and TOMs declaring war the th French State!), but it is great to show the diversity of the Republic.

Pretty cool actually (scene at 1:16 is impressive), and no one ran away. ;)

Shame about that cnut Sarkozy though.
 
I hope one day the politicians and their bankers will be on the receiving end of what should happen after a haka.
