The Golf Thread

Man I wish the Ryder Cup was more often...or just team based match play golf (I can watch strokeplay but I find it less entertaining).
Yeah, I wish there was a way to implement it into the calendar, the European Tour are trying it with their "sixes" but it's a bit novel.

I'd love a match play major, it's how the game was first played and is hugely entertaining, not really feasible either nowadays though.

Have to agree, I can't really get into golf unless it's the last day if a major. Matchplay (and the Ryder Cup) is a lot more fun to me.

Ian Poulter is the Euro that American's love to hate. I am assuming that is Reed for the Euros?

Poulter looking to grab this by the scruff of its neck.

Rahm... Just when it looked like we have it in the bag.

I love Poulter so much, taking out the world number 1.

Edit: Oleson proving he should have been given more opportunities, he lost on Friday because Rory couldn't play.

Certainly deserves more chances than Woods have.

Big big win this week, 12 months ago you'd have thought we didn't stand a chance, then came Molinari, Fleetwood, Casey and Poulter to provide a formidable team.

Great to get the Ryder Cup back. Where's the next one being held in 2020?

I think the Americans need to not think to short term home advantage is a great thing but focusing on 2 years time. Europe has won in the US this decade haven't done so for the past 2 if they don't manage it next time it will be 3 decade since they won in Europe.

We've hit a point where Europe is expected to win in Europe regardless. America need to focus on chasing that.
