So I've got the idea to hold my own personal competition with mates using the rep teams - Barbarians, Aus A, Pacific Island, Jr AB's.
With each of these teams you are actually able to select a player from any country. So technically Richie McCaw can play for Australia A.
Anyways, using these strips as the base of the comp, I've used the Barbarians to have my own personal XV dominated by my favourite team - The Brumbies.
However, I gave myself restrictions and aimed at selecting players I liked rather than the definitive best World XV -
- Only a maximum of 7 Brumbies allowed
- At least one player from every Australian Super 14 team must be represented
- At least one player from the top ten nations must be represented
- At least one player from the Pacific Islands must be represented
- At least one player from North America must be represented
- And at least one player from the European minnow nations must be represented
- Only 3 star players in the starting lineup (max 5 star players all up)
I'm actually going to make some changes but here's the team I've got so far -
