Pick a team from CURRENT players (so not the entire Welsh team from the 70'S) who haven't been selected in their nation's final WC squad (for whatever reason).

1. Thomas Domingo (injured)
2. Schalk Brits (Christ knows why)
3. Carl Hayman (a victim of the not playing in NZ rule, which could bit the AB's on the bum their front row is dodgy as at scrum time)
4. Andries Bekker (injured)
5. Jerome Thion (cos France have too good many locks)
6. Magnus Lund (largely forgeotten by England since he moved to France)
7. David Wallace (injured)
8. Sione Lauaki (like Hayman plays outside NZ)
9. Danny Care (injured)
10. Juan Martin Hernandez (injured)
11. David Strettle (Martin Johnson prefers Cueto, bizarrely)
12. Matt Giteau (Australia have too many good backs)
13. Yannick Jauzion (Lievremont's had some sort of mental breakdown)
14. Christian Loamanu (the Japanese federation didn't take kindly to his 2 positive drugs tests for Marijuana, despite John Kirwan's plea to allow him to play)
15. Clement Poitrenaud (see Yannick Jauzion)

there's actually quite a few Centre's that could be on that list, Mathieu Basteraud, Riki Flutey, Gavin Henson and Nikki Walker, Luke Fitzgerald and Tomas O'Leary are all going to be missing too. With all those injuries anyone would think we play too much rugby !!! ;)

David Strettle? "lol"

I'd have Mujati over Hayman any day of the week as well

Isa Nacewa, Nili Latu, Nick Evans, Wyatt Crockett, Hosea Gear, Hika Elliot, Tamati Ellison, Anthony Tuitivake and Craig Newby are good enough to make most world cup squads. I miss Orene Ai'i too, would be great if 7s caps no longer counted as internationals and he could turn out for Samoa or Japan

6. Magnus Lund (largely forgeotten by England since he moved to France)

Ahead of Messam and Juan Smith?

11. David Strettle (Martin Johnson prefers Cueto, bizarrely)
14. Christian Loamanu (the Japanese federation didn't take kindly to his 2 positive drugs tests for Marijuana, despite John Kirwan's plea to allow him to play)

there are loads of far better wingers not going than those two, Gear, Sivivatu, Ranger, Rokocoko, Caucaunibuca, Bobo, Fitzgerald, Malzieu, Visser and Sharples too name a few

My team

15. Isa Nacewa
14.
Tim Visser
13. Robbie Fruean
12. Yannick Jauzion
11. Hosea Gear
10. Juan Martín Hernández
9. Dwayne Peel
1. Thomas Domingo
2. Matthew Rees
3. Brian Mujati
4. Erik Lund
5. Andries Bekker
6. Juan Smith
7. David Wallace
8. Chris Masoe

16.
Schalk Brits
17. Giorgi Jgenti
18. Ifereimi Rawaqa
19. Liam Messam
20. Danny Care
21. Nick Evans
22. Sitiveni Sivivatu

I'd pick anyone who doesn't get out breath tieing their boot laces over CauCau !! :p & Strettle beat more defenders than anyone else (he may I've been second behind Simbad, not 100%) in the second best league in world rugby last season, I've no idea how Cueto is ahead of him. Could have put Brad Barritt in the Centre list too, Tindall's selection is another mystery to me.

1. Thomas Domingo
2. Matthew Rees
3.Carl Hayman
4. Thion
5. Andreas Bekker
6. Juan Smith
7. Martyn Williams
8. Gareth Delve
9. Dwayne Peel
10. Matt Giteau
11. Hosea Gear
12. Gavin Henson
13. Yannick Jauzion
14. Sivivatu
15. Juan Martin Hernandez

Martyn Williams, very daft that he's not going. Then again, if there's an injury he could well end up in New Zealand, unlike David Wallace

I'd put the Top 14 above the AP since they have a salary cap of roughly £7.6 million compared to the Aviva's £4.2 million, it's grossly unfair when it comes to European competition, but nobody at the ERC seems to bothered by it. There will be some pretty decent players in France next year, Luke McAllister, Giteau, Anton Van Zyl, Stan Wright, James Hook and Regan King just will all be playing in the Top 14 after the World Cup, if not before.

15. Nacewa 14. Gear 13. Fruean 12. Jauzion 11. Fitzgerald 10. Giteau 9. Care 1. Crockett 2. Rees 3. Mujati 4. Thion 5. McLaughlin 6. Smith 7. Wallace 8. Newby Would've put caucau in but he wasn't really in contention and the same with Nacewa but I'm bias since he's with Leinster.

Simpson-Daniel is ahead of Strettle. I'm not sure he makes a team of the best players not going, as there's an insane list of great players not going.

Robshaw ahead of Lund as well.

Oh, and Matthew Rees is a better player than Brits.

That's CauCau?? He's lost ALOT of weight since I last saw him!

And by the looks of it, grew another three inches.

Here is him now.

Here's a recent one of Caucau:

Though from what I saw of the Toulouse match on the weekend, he's put on a bit more timber since :p

Edit: Haha, Nick beat me to it by a few seconds :p Great minds think alike, and all that

Not going to lie ... he seems to have shed a few sine last season in that video.
