Obviously a Welsh win is utmost to me tomorrow but as Fans of rugby, should we not all be glad that the 4 " entertainers " will be slogging it out this weekend as opposed to the alternative of Ireland vs England & South Africa vs Argentina?

In my eyes Rugby has already won this tournament for a change as negativity and the limited philosophy of "win ugly" which so often prevails has gladly failed for once!

I'm a big fan of pretty rugby ...but the slogging matches are far more exciting in my opinion... The Ireland Australia game seemed to captivate the nation ...the missus who never shows any interest in sport marveled at the intensity and sheer suspense of it... I'd much rather watch an enthralling 6-6 draw full of hits , guts and ferocity than a 45- 32 game of "matador defence"

Not to suggest that the defense will be sub par in these games but I just feel that pretty rugby is often over rated

Sport is all about opinions but I have to disagree.

Only 2 sports matter to me, football & rugby and if i think of the teams I want to watch its Barcelona, Spain, Brazil etc (football) & Australia, France, ABs &Wales(rugby).

England 2003 were the best team in that tournament bit outside of England they gained hardly any respect ( partly cos theyre England) but also because they did not progress the game in any way shape or form

and because people have a preconceived idea of how England played in that period, which is skewed by their dislike of the team/the country, and is actually really wrong.

Some truth in that i accept but ive never understood why a nation that has so many in built advantages, ie massive player base, world class facilities and undoubted talent more often than not play (both rugby and football) at a national level in a proffesional, structured And efficient way but in a way that so often lacks "spark".

Overtly romantic...Yes (im Welsh it goes with the territory) but in the long run " He who dares " may not always win in sport, but will be the only one capable of greatness!

Are you suggesting that Jason Robinson had no spark?
Because if so, you and me are going to have problems :p

Jason Robinson was out of this world and frankly an England team on fire fullfilling their potential scares the sh*te out of me.....but while, as i said there is " undoubted talent" in England and your teams occasionally show flashes of genius, there just seems to be a businees like approach to sport which will always make you competitive and competent but rarely special or ground breakers.
