Always thought this guy was special ever since watching him play for Auckland club Te Papa. Shame he wont be in NZ anymore really has been one of the form halfbacks of this World Cup. Same boat as Kahn Fotuali'i awesome talent who should of been in the ALL BLACKS , but im glad these guys ended up playing for their Countries. Heres an article on Moa.

He had so much potential it's too bad we didn't get to see the best of him in New Zealand but it's good that he's been given the opportunity to play for his Country Tonga. I remember when he was one of the best halfbacks around and than he was put up as free agent but unfortunately didn't get a Super Rugby contract. It was just unbelievable that no team snapped him up, I just hope he sorts his personal life out and comes back to Rugby 100%.

He can come to the Hurricanes we're in need of a good halfback now that Piri and Alby are both gonna be in Aucks next season

Oh you guys have got to be kidding!

This guy bottles it under pressure.

I can't even count the amount of times he cost Auckland and the Blues points, and in some instances, games (Blues v Waratahs in '10 springs to mind)

I was so glad when he left Auckland. he used to annoy the 5hit out of me when he was brought onto the field.
He's worth about 10 points to the opposition, he is taht much of a liability.
I noticed he was up to his old tricks in the Japan-Tonga game, always trying to run himself and getting into trouble.

Sounds like the same thing for me with Nonu. I couldn't stand him he'd play real good for the All Blacks but plays average sometimes good for the lions and Hurricanes but stays just long enough so we lose Ellison, Fruean and Treeby. I think Moa had alot of potential when he first came on the scene but probably just faded, anyway I hope him all the best with whatever team he's playing for these days

I think the Hurricanes will be fine...I really rate TJ Perenara this kid will be an All Black.

On raw talent he would be one of the best 9s on the planet. Work ethic, focus and commitment to learning coaching schemes and game plans ruined any chance he had of reaching his potential. If only we got Andy Ellis' brain and put it in his body..
