Referee: Steve Walsh
Assistant Referees: Andrew Lees & Damien Mitchelmore
TMO: Steve Leszczynski

Waratahs: Israel Folau, Tom Kingston, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Tom Carter, Drew Mitchell, Bernard Foley, Brendan McKibbin, Wycliff Palu, Michael Hooper, Dave Dennis (capt), Kane Douglas, Mitchell Chapman, Sekope Kepu, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Benn Robinson.
Replacements: John Ulugia, Jeremy Tilse, Paddy Ryan, Sitaleki Timani, Lopeti Timani, Matt Lucas, Ben Volavola.

Robinson back in the starting lineup, but Berrick Barnes is still not fit. Slightly surprised to see S Timani dropped to the bench, with Chapman taking his spot.

Rebels: James O'Connor (capt), Lachlan Mitchell, Mitch Inman, Rory Sidey, Richard Kingi, Kurtley Beale, Nick Phipps, Scott Higginbotham, Scott Fuglistaller, Luke Jones, Cadeyrn Neville, Hugh Pyle, Laurie Weeks, Ged Robinson, Nic Henderson.
Res: Shota Horie, Paul Alo-Emile, Jordy Reid, Jarrod Saffy, Nic Stirzaker, Angus Roberts, Tom English.

Beale is fit, but Delve is out injured, which is a big blow for the Rebels. It is good to see big Cadeyrn Neville back in the starting pack though.

I wonder if we could see Barnes play inside centre once fully fit.
Carter is a poor player, and with those outside backs you need someone who can pass.

Only an aussie derby could have 2 replies :p :p :p hahaha

Well, it really all depends how badly the Waratahs want a win. Give these Rebels half a chance, and they'll take it.

I don't think that would be a bad idea. If I recall correctly the Waratahs backline functioned a bit better last season with Barnes at 12 outside Foley. I'm not actually a big fan of Barnes (as he kicks away far too much ball), but the Waratahs dangerous outside backs are probably more likely to see the ball with him at 12 rather than Tom Carter...).

I'm picking it to be a pretty close game, but I will go for the Waratahs due to their home-ground advantage....

Rebels playing the better rugby at the moment, leading 13-3 after 25 mins....

Workrate of Ged Robinson and Hugh Pyle is very good.
Rebels have af ew good players keeping them in most games but lack with the rest of them
Higginbotham runs warm and cold, you never know what type of game he will deliver on the day
O’Bieber always comes to the party (pun inteneded)
Pretty disappointed with Israel Folau this far, really though he would make more of an impact in Rugby Union.
Warrathas propably happy Ben Robinson is back, the best prop in AU at present

Rebels have looked promising so far. I wonder if they'll surprise us all this year. Of course, they still have 40 minutes to get through, and a lot could happen. Wish I could watch it all, but better get back to bed.
