Super League: Round 2

Castleford 18-12 Huddersfield
Catalan Dragons 14-38 Wakefield

Wow!

Been a good week for predictions for me, just needed a week to warm up. haha

I should have known better than to tip against a John Kear team when their backs are well and truly stuck to the wall. Having said that, I did say in my pre-season column it was getting harder to pick!

I reckon Quins vs Crusaders will be a good game. Hopefully, the Crusaders are able to get up.

Was really looking forward to watching the Quins/Crusaders match, but looks like its not on telly :( :( Gutted, really enjoyed watching them last week :( :( Hopefully the Crusaders can put in another great performance and actually get out of the minus points :D

0 - 6 atm, Sammut try converted by Schichfcsckofcskese

6 - 6 try & conversion by Gale

Hopefully in the future all Super League games will be broadcast on Sky Sports, even if its the Red Button will still be better than nothing, or maybe Super League should start broadcasting games on there website if they have the money to spare for a good camera crew.

Wow its been a good Round, and a few suprises to boot. Good job by Harlequins to get a important win for them against a team that i thought was going to steamroller them.

surprising! didnt expect us to beat Giants and that scoreline is very flattering to them, they were poor. also wakey did very well against catalans, glad i had money on them didnt even need the handicap at +20! if only crusaders had won i would have made a tidy heap on a 5 way accumulator.
leeds looked very good and saints steam rollered salford. good round in all it thought

YEP! Wakey + John Kear + Backs to the wall situation +20pts = money in the bank

incidentally, anyone think that st helens' promotion today of a stand-off-cum-fullback from their academy is an indication eastmond might be on his way out? They said on the super league show that he'd be making his decision in a day or so, but nothing yet. I can't see that delaying his decision is doing any good for team morale...

Gaskell is highly thought of but he played due to injuries. Wheeler would have played 6 but was hurt at Millennium Magic. Whether Eastmond stays or go is becoming tiresome to me now, but that possibility isn't why Gaskell played. He's also played in the first team before.
