Tonight, in melbourne should be an awesome game
on a dry track with no wind (i beleive its under the roof isnt it?)
hopefully queensland can come back and win the series instead of losing for the fourth time in a row. should be a good game.
in my opinion queensland have played the better football for longer. first half of first game they were down 14-0 (i think) and ended up losing 17-16 (right? this is just off the top of my head)
second game totally outplayed new south wales and hopefully can hold them off again.
what are your thoughts? if anyone has thoughts
I'm going.
Woot.
Your B'Day present right?
Happy B'day
Also give us a run down of the atmosphere
i havent been to the dome yet.........apparantly at full house u cant hear **** from the person next to you
State of Origin is the greatest f***ing Sporting event in the World... this isn't the first one I went to, but it was the first I really appreciated and understood.
Atmosphere was fricking great, me and my mate were one row from the front just left of the halfway... not even the rich ******** in the boxes had a better view then us.
Even the train ride to the game was awesome, with a lot of banter, swearing and even a scrap in the next carrage. The crowd was awesome, i'm not sure if theres alot of closet League fans here in Vic or alot of people made the trip down south, but there were no fair weather fans here, nothing but die hards from where I was sitting. Seemed to be alot of New Zealanders around (all in their Queensland Maroon of course).
The crowd, as you said was loud at the Dome, but I've been there for AFL, Cricket and Union, but none matched the noise made last night.
The Game itself was alright... not the best, but what it lacked in flair it made up in inteseness. Although when the Video Ref gave that try right after disallowing a perfectly good QLD try, I swear a riot was about to break out. Good thing he ruled that 50/50 NSW try in QLD's favour.
Best moment of the nights was Clinton Schisofikie (sp?) shaking my big rubber hand, John Howard getting booed during the presentation and walking out of the stadium afterwards high fiving every Queenslander we saw while my NSW mate hung his head in shame. Oh and Lockyers match winning try. [/b]
