Bring back John Plumtree? Here is a Kiwi with more knowledge about SA rugby than any other foreigner. Also John Mitchell might be in contention to coach the Boks after the world cup if he becomes successful with the Bulls. SARU will reach a point where they will have to look beyond SA's borders for a foreign coach that can do the job, but it will have to be a foreign coach that has some insight into the workings of SA rugby, the culture and the way of thinking. That's why I mention these two. A guy from the outside like Robbie Deans will not do well because he never coached in SA before and will struggle to cope with the political pressure and quotas etc...Also Eddie Jones might be a good option somewhere in the future when he is done with England. Here is another foreign coach who has some great insight into SA rugby having coached against south african sides for many years and also being Springboks assistant coach under Jake White. Jones is the main reason that SA lost to the Japs. If it was any other coach coaching Japan that day, SA would have won even as crap as they were..
