Following on from the Alex McKinnon incident in Rugby League, just over a week later another incident in Australia has occurred, this time in Aussie Rules;

Given so many incidents go unreported the issue of spinal injuries is far greater than publicised. The governing bodies of sports where such incidents occur need to get their act together and clean up their game.

Would love to know the rate of spinal injury occurrence in Rugby.

In the last three months, theres been two from Rugby league; Alex McKinnon, and youth player Curtis Landers, and this week Welsh Rugby Union player Owen Williams.

That's just the high profile ones affiliated to pro teams, have read about loads at amateur level.
