Hey lads, TRF's users communicate via Twitter, Facebook among them?. I feel I spend time on the forum but don't have contact with comrades outside the forum. Some forum members meet in person or at least in social networks? Either this is a forum for reluctant?

no, we all avoid exposure outside this forum as we're terrified little rodents who only seek to look big and strong behind our keyboards but are pathologically insecure and mentally frail outcasts really and would rather things stay exactly the same. But thank you for proposing, intention is much appreciated !! :D

yeah like i would conrad but its difficult now a days to get a friends request from someone like you so...

The French are renowned as reluctant and unsociable people. In Paris if you ask someone for help and don't speak French, chances are you will not help.

:D

I do agree that if you're in Paris and ask someone for help and don't speak French, chances are you will not help. That much, we're in total, unconditional agreement.

It depends in Paris, locals tend to be ignorant gits, but the shops etc... are getting better, as younger people with better language skills are taking jobs there.

Also twitter: @thedeadballarea

Well I'm not on twitter. And I mainly use facebook to see what my actual friends (people I have actually met) are doing.

But TRF is my Social Network. I'm more one here than on any other website...

well at least we're not over-flooded with English-speaking/American influences, not that those are problematic intrinsically but I'm happy we're not like other nations like Germany, Scandinavian countries that have given up a lot of their traditional tongue in expense of their own...yes Paris is absolutely horrendous with treating its own citizens or foreigners, but I'm quite happy we're so xenophobic in a way, it preserves our Frenchness :D
Although yes, Parisians are often fkng pricks, no doubt on anybody's mind..

It's worth pointing out that Parisians are VERY different to your average Frenchman from outside of Paris. It's not really France if that makes sense.

It is a very Xenophobic country though, it's the only place in all my years living overseas I've been told to "***** off back to my own country", as soon as any kind of confrontation arises it becomes about where i'm from and not the actual issue.

"excuse me, you charged me twice for this croissant"

"no i didn't"

"sorry, but you did, look here's the receipt"

"***** you, you English pig, ***** off back to your own country, this is France! f******CK YOU!!!"

Me and Cymro badmouth most of you on facebook, it's good craic.

that's quite a coincidence, because EVERYONE else is in a facebook group slagging you and Cymro. we run a weekly photoshopping comp, where we put your heads onto funny pictures.... it's where we go when there's a 500 internal error....

I'd like to believe it, because it'd mean that you guys at least have a talent, which I have yet to see evidence for.

Meh ... Feic they are not in the elitist group, so they are uppset.

No French people aren't like that, and, well, uhmm...ehh...if you don't like it why don't you fk off back to your island up there ?!!!
