I don't get it. Me's a smoker, but what's the attraction in chawing, apart from the big loogy spits down your shirt front? Some kind of buzz - but is it like you've just swilled with chilli powder?

Do they sell dip over in europe?[/b]

Never seen it, or seen anyone use it, perhaps in the more specialised tobacco shops.

Good to hear you quit Lekso, a special reason you did or just because?

Well I have Bronchial Asthma, this is disorder which in my case is based on an allergic reaction

Andaaam I have ti quit actually but some other reasons also contribute, f.e. I am bothered by the cigarettes ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I hope you'll manage to resist the temptation of cigarettes from now on Lekso :)

Someone I know never managed to quit on his own, so his doctor prescribed him some sort of medicine, it only took a week before he stopped smoking completely. Apparently it's not without risks, since they don't prescribe it to people who try to quit for the first time.

Drug looked like this on the foto? this is Nicotine Patch

using this small comfortable device nicotine is absorbed from the skin and creates concentration in body which signals specific receptors this molecule is still available in the body environment

so the Nicotine addicted person has no more craving for smoke and tobacco anymore

Not veeeery effective but still working way to give up smoking

Thanks Laceta for your good wishes

I hope the allergic reaction is not caused by beer!!!

Apart from the occassional cigar I don't smoke. I experienced the smoking ban in Scotland and liked it. It saved me about £100 in drycleaning because my clothes didn't stink of smoke after a friday night out.

However, the problem was that it did disrupt the social atmosphere as half my mates smoked and half didn't so suddenly half the party would leave the bar to have a fag.

I suscribe to the Japanese system. In Japan, smoking in public areas like the street, train stations, and public spaces is fobidden. Usually you have to stand in a smoking area like cattle. The reason is that you can't avoid going out into the street if you want to go anywhere and thus someone smoking will infringe on your rights.

However, bars, resturants, shops, stores..basically private premises have the right to set their own smoking policy. Why? Because you choose to go to that bar, you choose to work at that resturant. You don't have to be there. If you don't like the smoke then you can take your trade or your skills elsewhere to a place that operates a no smoking policy.

This is a fair, just and common sense system.

EDIT: Also I heard that midgets absorb about 2000% more nicotene than normal people. This spells DOOM for Laeceta!

Oooh! Lekso, you are very lucky to be 1000 miles away from a woman like Laeceta!

Women have VERY long memories!!

Try turmeric?

Won't link to all the "buy me" sites. But I know a guy who says sips of turmeric in water throughout the day helped his asthma so much he was able to ditch the medication. He reckons the spice metabolises quickly, so a heavy dose in the morning wears off too soon.

It wasn't a nicotine patch Lekso, he took pills that made him dislike cigarettes up to a point where he would get nauseous whenever he smoked one. So he stopped smoking them, didn't crave them or anything.

Luckily for her, Laeceta doesn't smoke. Not sure what memory has to do with it?

Is it really that hard to spell it correctly?

Looks like just another language :p

When I google Laeceta one of the results is TRF :p

Anyway, we're getting mucho off topic now, everyone go back to smoking!
