Six Nations 2025 predictions based upon AI 2024

Part of me hopes Wales start turning things around, however another part of me hopes they go winless and get battered every single game.
I would have thought like that previously, but seeing how much supporters of the other home nations have enjoyed our struggles in the 6N in the last few years, Wales can get lost. I hope they get walloped every game - except possibly against Scotland. Scottish fans thinking they're something special just because they've beaten England a few times in a row absolutely grates. Actually win a proper trophy before you start gobbing off. Irish fans are a very confident bunch every 6N but they have a reason to be confident.

it might just be me, but bar England, the only other team that I want to do well every 6 Nations is Italy. I'll always support Italy against the other home nations, whether that's right or wrong.

PS France will absolutely waltz to the ***le, ENG/SCO/IRE could be close for second with England being in a lot of close games with good sides, Scotland with a strong autumn, and Ireland slightly below par and without Faz.

TopTen must be Nostradamus. This wins best prediction in the thread.
The rest of the thread taken as a whole confidently assured us that England would be duking it out with Italy for fifth place, and that Ireland have magic leprechaun dust in their boots, or something.

Don't think this is a massively important window for us results wise. 3 or 4 from 5 is fine. If we had Farrell I think the slam should be the goal but can't really criticise him going on the vanity project / cash cow that is the Lions.

Don't expect a massive player turn around from last autumn either, that will come in summer and autumn but I do expect us to develop our attack, likely woth Prendergast at 10.

Hope we win the Scotland game, we're 10 on the hop against them and two wins away from a 10 year winning streak which is something we've never done to another tier 1 side.

Going to Cardiff for the first time too which should be a bit of craic.

Predictions:

France (GS)
Ireland
England
Scotland
Italy
Wales

France ******** the bed in Twickenham away from a perfect outing. Do a predictions comp in work where all predictions are made before round 1 amd was 14/15.

Shows how very fine margins are often the difference between resounding success and abject failure at this level.

Amazing to think we were 2 points away from having just 2 wins. Then again South Africa were 3 points from going out in the quarter final Vs winning the entire thing last world cup.

I can honestly see England finishing 5th. We won't beat Ireland or France, then we have Scotland who have had our number for a long time now. If we go into Italy 0 from 3, the Italians will be massively pumped and eyeing up history. This Italian generation of players will beat England, it's a question of when, not if. Fiji won at Twickenham last year, there's no reason why Italy can't do it.

France - GS
Ireland
Scotland
Italy
England
Wales

Can't see anyone touching France. They beat NZ and comfortably beat Argentina playing at probably 65%. They were nowhere near full-strength in the Autumn either.
Oops, got that a bit wrong. In my defence, I think our 6N works out very differently if France beat us by 20 points as they should have done. In that scenario I stand by what I thought pre-tournament about the Scotland and Italy games. The margins between success and failure are ridiculously small and we got on the right side of them this time around, which gave us the confidence to play well in the last two games.

France should have won a GS, they just lost the plot at Twickenham. Ireland won 4 from 5 which I thought they would pre-tournament, albeit their performance levels were less impressive than I expected. Scotland were unlucky at Twickenham and gave a good account of themselves in France but the Ireland defeat probably ended their 6 Nations before it had even started. They had to be 2/2 from the opening rounds to have a realistic shot at the Championship.

It's maybe harsh because they showed glimpses of what a good team they could eventually become, but I was disappointed with Italy this year. They looked great attack-wise, but the bad old habits of slacking off for periods in games and letting in 2/3 tries quickly resurfaced again this year after being minimised last year. Having said that , I definitely think that team still has big potential in it and they will be back next year. They've got the players to be competitive now.

As for Wales, I'll be polite - the less said the better.
