Why should he? Surely as long as he wants to hang inthere and try and get playing regularly again, and as long as sale are happy having him on their books, thats what matters? Hell always be valuable to have around the england sdquad providing hes playing well and not being picked from past achievements. The only thing needing regulating is the selection system so we know he is still deserving of a squad place. Admittedly under johnson england will never have that assurance

Good - He obviously loves his rugby
He did an interview before where he said he wants to stick with Sale instead of going to France next season, so I hope he does do that. He may not be the best scrummager around, but he's not the worst
Hopefully he won't get selected for England again, though, as they love breaking Sale players

Good to see. I agree that he probably won't be of much help to England anymore, but still a great rugby player to have around a squad. I know he's loyal to Sale, but it may be an idea for him to consider a move to Japan. He'll be a very good scrummager there, and he runs less risk of injury. That being said, if he enjoys his time in Sale and doesn't care too much about the money, all the best to him.

I recon he'll retire at the end of this year, probably just doesn't want to end his career with 2 years of injury and a poor world cup behind him.

Just really hope he doesn't regret this long term and then when it comes to time for him to walk away from the game, he can still walk properly. And the rest of it.
