<article>Super Rugby leaders the Sharks have suffered two massive blows to their Super Rugby campaigns as Pat Lambie has been ruled out for the season and Cobus Reinach for around 8 weeks.
Scrumhalf Cobus Reinach has a fractured hand and underwent surgery on Monday while flyhalf Lambie has a torn biceps tendon and will not be able to play Super Rugby again this year.
Reinach has been confirmed out of action for up to eight weeks which means missing the match against the Waratahs this Saturday at Kings Park as well as three matches in April (Lions away and at home to the Cheetahs and Highlanders) and some - if not all - of the tour to Australia and New Zealand where they play the Rebels, Brumbies, Crusaders and Blues in May.
Pat Lambie was initially thought to be out for a similar period but the diagnosis has been confirmed as a torn biceps tendon which means he is not going to play any further role in the Super Rugby tournament.
The Springbok back sustained the injury during Saturday's 23-19 loss to the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday.
Lambie lasted just six minutes in Pretoria, before being replaced by Tim Swiel.
Lambie will undergo surgery later this week with recovery taking up to six months and the double loss is a massive blow to the the Sharks ***le aspirations
Earlier this month the Sharks also lost another of their key players Pieter-Steph du Toit for the rest of the year with a knee injury.
