What happens if Wales get any injury or two upfront, particularily the tight five? None of the forwards on the bench are going to put the fear of god into anybody.[/b]

Beg to differ with Yapp and Bennett on the bench! Yapp is a thung 20 stone of thugness and he WILL strike the fear of god! Bennett should be starting instead of Reeswho is crap!

Yeah they will think, ****! Its that guy whos on the bench for Cardiff.

Yeah they will think, ****! Its that guy whos on the bench for Cardiff, and came on against Gloucester when Cardiff beat them at Kingsholm with 14 men!

Couldn't have put it better myself :p ;)

@ danny, its not like Gloucster aint got enough primadonas in there side  *cough* AZAM *cough*

Its not like the Ospreys have got any better?

Yapp is the second best looshead in Wales imo and could be pushing for top spot if he wasn't at the same club as Gethin Jenkins. He's an absolute powerhouse, a true sportsman who doesn't carry any extra weight, he really is 20st of muscle! His main problems are his work rate around the field (he's great at carrying the ball, but doesn't put in the tackles etc. that Gethin and Duncan do), he can also have the tendancy to loose the ball in contact, but this often happens to players who get limited gametime.

I just find it a bit stupid that he's still at the Cardiff Blues, he'd be great at the Dragons who are still lumbering on with Black (fine a great survant, and an insane try scoring record, but not a top class athlete anymore). Being behind the best Loosehead in Britain (yes Gethin is better than Sheridan, who I think is very one dimensionsional) at club and country has to hold you back, and he's really struggled to progress since 2005 (though he was Blues' no1 choice throughout periods of last season).

Other than that, Wales' bench is looking very good apart from Dafydd Jones who's there because everyone else in injured. Jonathan Thomas, Sam Warberton, Ben Lewis or even Gareth Delve (though that would leave us without cover for Martyn Williams) would be there imo. I also agree Hibbard should be there over Bennett who's only stronger point, his throwing has also been atrocious since returning from injury (god what is wrong with Welsh hookers, don't they realise that whichever one sorts their throwing out first becomes Wales' first choice!)

I've also heard Henson should be fine for Sunday's game. Even though he hasn't been on form for the O's, he's by far the most gifted 12 we have, and I can see his partnership with Roberts being awesome. He does need to sort out why he's getting injured all the time, is it just bad luck, or is it something else. I was always taught that unless you go into contact at 100%, properly meaning it, you're bound to come off injured. He often looks disinterested and half arsed in games, what's he like in training? Then again, I can't see Gatland/Edwards putting up with a half assed attitude!

Glaws have got more than their share, I agree but for Azam that **** he pulled was sooo out of character. He is our one tough, uncompromising tight-foward. At least give me Azam to look up to in our front-5.

The Curse of my Fantasy league team strikes again,

Henson's out, Shanklin in to replace him.

So if there is anyone playing in the weekends games you really dislike, Let me know and I'll put them in my team :)

Shanklin... :cryy:
PUT BISHOP IN FOR CHRIST'S SAKE![/b]

not sure what Wales are playing at there, thought Bishop was a decent chance of starting even before the Henson injury.

Dont see the problem with Shanklin coming in, hes done very well for the Blues since the Autumn internationals!

Yeh fair enough, but I'd like Gatland to try some guys out for the future. Shanklin will never be as good as he was in '05, whereas Bishop is young and has been in very good form over the recent few games...

Yea its true Bishop has pulled his finger from his ass recently and to be fair has impressed!

I think Gatland has gone down the route of picking Shanklin cause he can tackle as there is some doubt over Bishops tackling! Reckon Gav's time is running out for the Lions at the mo!

well thank Christ for that!

Looking forward to a mighty back three performance from Wales and I worry for a Scotland side which seems to have a manager intent on picking the wrong team?

What the fock is up with picking Southwell? And no Evans. what's he doing?

P.s Only three and a half hours untill rugby!

That's the one thing I wish they'd do with the first weekend, start with a Super Saturday, nothing worse than having to wait an extra day for your first match while the other teams are getting on with it. Mind you I'd have Super Saturdays every week, no doubt though the Beeb wouldn't be up for that with their numerous complaints each time there is one.

I can't wait for the first Fab Friday.... =/

Why are there complaints on Super Saturdays, Tarbh?

just too much rugby, even though the viewing figures completely justify them.

Fock that shat, tennis people get about two weeks of Non stop Tennis. God knows how much snooker there is. Just because they can't afford the bloody soccer right we shouldn't listen to crap from them. Surely they have numerous other channels? Bog off and watch them.

Only one super Sarurday.

SHAME ON HUMANITY!!!

Complainers.... Go back to the Shadow. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!!!

What he said.
Maybe more eloquently and less vociferously, but the message remains the same. :D

it's another thing that annoys me, you may get 1000 complaints and that's what'll get reported but nobody will mention that there were maybe 5000 further letter commending them on the coverage.

I say more Super Saturdays.
