F**k me... there is some amount of sh!te in this thread. Ireland dominate possession and territory, the backline make a load of line breaks... but its the starting 10 that gets it 'cos he missed a penalty and conversion from the touchline against his foot. As soon as Hamilton and Keyes started bumming and blowing about Radge warming up, my head was in my hands. Once more Radge comes on.... and people at the time were thinking it was the right move?!? When have they last seen Radge play a good game? 2012? I certainly can't remember much in the way of good performances after 2011... Many of the same problems come back to haunt Ireland as before[1], yet DeClown can't see it. In fairness, some inconsistent problems came back and new problems emerged in this match[2]. [1] - Murray far too slow. Reddan sped things up nicely when he came on. Unfortunately he had to work with a very poor half-back partner in: - Radge. No business in professional rugby anymore. - Earls has no peripheral vision. He simply cannot be counted on to keep a move going. I don't believe this is a problem that can be coached around (especially at his age) - you either have awareness, or you don't. Unfortunately, he doesn't. - POM cannot carry very well, cannot tackle very well and cannot ruck very well. Henderson did more in 5 mins than POM did in 70. [2] - Wobbly lineout. Best had a great lineout in 2011, it has been slipping for Ulster and Ireland lately and went to pieces today. Unsympathetic calls definitely didn't help. The lineout callers/jumpers must bear much of the blame too. - Rob Kearney is left footed. When booting down the right touchline for penalties, give Rob Kearney the ball. Not rocket science.
