Saracens second rower Tom Ryder has joined Glasgow Warriors on a 2 month loan deal.

" Saracens lock Tom Ryder has joined Glasgow Warriors on a two-month loan deal.

The Scotland qualified 25-year-old has already started training with the Magners League club in advance of the new season

Director of Rugby Brendan Venter said: “When Glasgow contacted us about the possibility of Tom joining them on a short-term deal because of injury in their squad, we were happy to help. This is a good opportunity for Tom to get some regular game time and he will return to Saracens having played a number of competitive matches. It’s a move that benefits all involved.â€

Ryder added: “This is a great opportunity to not only play regular rugby and get some good quality Magners League matches under my belt, but also force my way back into the Saracens team on my return. My first training session went really well and I’m looking forward to facing Wasps on Saturday in a pre-season friendly.â€

Just wondering what everyone thinks of this.

Didn't Borthwick just knacker his leg?
Seems silly to be loaning a player out when they've just lost one in that position for a while

Ryder just wants more game time, I think
