SCOTT JOHNSON has revealed Ryan Jones’ future career at the Ospreys lies at lock forward.

Jones was stripped of leadership duties by Wales coach Warren Gatland during the autumn internationals.

However, Ospreys boss Johnson insisted critics of the No 8 or blindside flanker, who has packed down in the second row for his region this campaign, had got it wrong.

“Ryan hasn’t lost it (dynamism). Wales play slightly differently and get him to do different things,†said Johnson.

What happened to all the Ospreys locks? Ian Evans, Ian Gough, AWJ...?

Ryan Jones is an excellent no.8 IMO.

Alun-Wyn Jones is getting back to his best. Ian Evans is also returning to some kinda form. Ian Gough looks to be all but finished imo, not a patch on his former felf, and wouldn't be surprised if his Welsh career is over.

Ryan Jones looks good at lock, really suits his game.

Was an excellent 8, circa 2008.
Ever since his injury pre-Lions his form has dropped.

Ian Evans' problem was injury after injury. He is getting back into form and should be our backup second row for the WC.

If his future is at second row, then a big call for Gatland to start looking at Falatau in the 6 Nations!

His future is where he's played

If the ospreys play him at second row unfortunately that's the only place Wales will think of picking him
Ironic really as the same was happening with Jonathan Thomas and now he's starting 8 at ospreys and playing back row again for Wales

There's a good article on this at www.kooga-rugby.com
