Yeah I'm far less convinced by the Gats after 12 years has suddenly discovered the importance of plan B defence than the Wales are always bad out of the camp.Imagine how good you could have been for the last 12 years if Gatland had realised that a plan B was occasionally useful.
You've always had the players to do so, just not the permission.

@bushytop indeed. No need to show your full hand just yet, chance to try different things, don't get yourself injured.
Gatland finally unveils his Plan B! Love it
Is that a sudden catastrophic drop in form reference, a “quarter final curse” reference, or a potato famine reference? No need to rush buys... you could end up doing an ‘Ireland’![]()
This strikes me as the same as whe the Irish were saying Schmidt was keeping his cards up his sleeves going into the world cup@bushytop indeed. No need to show your full hand just yet, chance to try different things, don't get yourself injured.
He is... Was always 2019 though! This strikes me as the same as whe the Irish were saying Schmidt was keeping his cards up his sleeves going into the world cup

It's a worry but we seem to be heading in the right direction - usually it's a 40min capitulation but today's was only about 20Honestly let's also remember whilst England were better side and deserved to win this wasn't one of those comprehensive drubbings. Let Wales back in on two occasions.
And it still worries me that's been our problem the past 12 months we've been on top of many games and not finished them off. Still think that problem is lurking and it will mean no matter where we get to in the world cup it will happen one knock out match and that will be it.

Or it’s 40 in games that matter and 20 in games that don’t ... I don’t have much faith in this squad’s mentality I’m afraidIt's a worry but we seem to be heading in the right direction - usually it's a 40min capitulation but today's was only about 20
Fair play to @bushytop you called it. Tbh if curry was just precaution then I can't ask for anymore.
Wales struggled but anscombe looks like a bad injury.
I said Wales will take no injuries over winning. It does call into question playing a full strength side. Gats might regret this. I hope for Anscombe's sake it's not the end to his world cup.I’ll cross the **** outta my fingers that he’s alright!

We’ll see, my impression is (& it was this going in, if you wanna check) is we get BLASTED physically going into our first game but with next to no rugby... then we learn by our work ons as we go, while our fitness has already been established.Yup, always have been.
Seems like a **** excuse this time out, though - we're not that far removed from the Six Nations/regular season.
Me too dude, me too (in much the same way that I hope all top class players make it to the show).
