[RWC19 Warm-Up] - England vs Wales

Imagine how good you could have been for the last 12 years if Gatland had realised that a plan B was occasionally useful.
You've always had the players to do so, just not the permission.
Yeah I'm far less convinced by the Gats after 12 years has suddenly discovered the importance of plan B defence than the Wales are always bad out of the camp.

Reality is Wales were provisionally the No. 1 team in the world against a second string England side that have been massively misfiring for some time. They should of won this without too much bother.

@bushytop indeed. No need to show your full hand just yet, chance to try different things, don't get yourself injured.
This strikes me as the same as whe the Irish were saying Schmidt was keeping his cards up his sleeves going into the world cup

Honestly let's also remember whilst England were better side and deserved to win this wasn't one of those comprehensive drubbings. Let Wales back in on two occasions.

And it still worries me that's been our problem the past 12 months we've been on top of many games and not finished them off. Still think that problem is lurking and it will mean no matter where we get to in the world cup it will happen one knock out match and that will be it.

It's a worry but we seem to be heading in the right direction - usually it's a 40min capitulation but today's was only about 20

Decent performance not great FB still a worry on the D side of the ball.
LCD and Genge best games in England shirts
other than 10 mins of silly pens discipline good our major downfall last 2 yrs.
Heinz going
Francis Merchant not.
1 from Ewels Shields Dombrant Ludlum for place 31.
Depends how EJ splits back 5.
maybe 5 locks 3 of which can play 6 .
5 backrows 1 who can play 2nd row.
other 30 nailed on.

@TheOvalBall
Pretty much.
Yup, always have been.

Seems like a **** excuse this time out, though - we're not that far removed from the Six Nations/regular season.
We’ll see, my impression is (& it was this going in, if you wanna check) is we get BLASTED physically going into our first game but with next to no rugby... then we learn by our work ons as we go, while our fitness has already been established.

It may ‘sound’ convenient but it’s what I’ve seen from Gats for 12 years... there’s no reason that would change now.
