How did you and your countrymen feel in 2007 when Wayne Barnes had a 29 error shocker, refereeing nz vs France in the WC quarter-final ? If I was an all-black supporter, I would have felt awful. As it was, it was very unfair, and it undermines the game when a referee makes so many one-sided mistakes. By the way, I don't believe that any of the referees are in any way dishonest. However, referees do get used to refereeing particular styles of rugby, and are sometimes overwhelmed by the importance of the game. I noticed Wayne Barnes missing a number of forward passes again in his last game.

Nah all we really need is someone to take over and just do the right thing.
Congrats to France they played outstandingly. They had a few harsh calls go against them but ultimately IMO there were no Game defining decisions. It wasn't Joubert's best game.
I got what I was after, which was a close final but that was just WAAAYYY too close. Those of us at the Queens Wharf were a bit worried they may not have had enough Police should it not be the outcome we were after. The Amount of Free Alcohol the french supporters were getting - you'd thought they won the World Cup.
Also (I can't believe I'm saying this) I will never diss Stephen Donald ever again.

We beat Japan with big flaws, lost to NZ and TONGA (!!!!!) - then the ultimate redemption in beating England quite largely. That was big. Everybody counted us out against the Welsh, and we got past them too - with great difficulty and ambiguity even...nevertheless, qualified for the Finals. And against all odds, we played such a great game and made them suffer our style at times - only to fall short by a single point.
Had we won - our first ever World Cup, in Auckland, vs the All-blacks, against all odds and with our given bumps along the road to the Finals - this 2011 French team would have become legend. Simply...(as opposed to mere greatness lol)
But noooooooo....had to be a southern hemisphere team. I'd hate to take anything away from the NZ cup but, it's just so unfair for us !!...so hard to get over.
