Rugby breakaway league coming. (R360)

Great to hear that players we don't know might get offers and might move to places we don't know to maybe play for teams we don't know and then it'll be streamed on a TV channel we don't know and also maybe YouTube but we don't know.

What we do know is that they'll be banned from international rugby

Tomos Williams and Itoje are the kind of players that I would expect to be interested in this "competition". Early 30s possibly more towards the end of their career than the start.

Well by ebeyone but Argentina and possibly Wales (Wales are apparently fearful of how many will join because of the upheaval)
Wales is about to make half their players unemployed, they'll keep their mouth shut about R360 for a while

Some great sound bites there. My personal favourite is 'you can't be dual registered with Northampton Saints and Dubai Human Rights Offenders'.

One of Squidge's best ever videos I reckon.

He absolutely crucifies it, for both rugby and financial reasons.

Explains that they would need to get a bigger TV deal than the 6 Nations and sell out all stadiums with prices of £450 a ticket to make it work financially.

Also the players will hardly train together and come up with attacking formations and tactics, they will play like 15 players who have just met in the pub carpark before the game. The rugby itself will either be a poorer version of Baa-baas rugby, or just kick and chase rugby.

He thinks there is about 15% chance of it starting, and a 1% chance of it being a success.

Yeah, I really enjoyed how he was able to show how unrealistic it is based upon basic maths.

For anyone who can’t be bothered to watch, he worked out that they would need to sell out every game at maximum stadium capacity at a minimum of £400 per ticket to break even …

Will this work or backfire and end up weakening the tour amid the rumours quite a lot of Red Roses in particular have signed contracts that might oblige them to join R360.

What rumours, lol
The only talk out of R360 the past few months is how it's absolutely dead and no player is signing for them and all the ones that did give vague heads of agreement are running for the hills

A few days after the final they were articles saying possibly up half of the World Cup squad had signed pre contracts. Things seem different for the Women’s game.

R360 for the men is dead
R360 for the women has never been a going concern without the men's game

They really expect to have a league of 4, with nothing else at all, and rake in the millions?

R360 could have done serious damage to the women's game, but it would have needed twice as many teams (at least) AND the men's game to be a success.
The only reason it could have been more attractive to the women players is the money they were talking about throwing around, and the pittance they currently earn.

Is it dead?. There are still regular articles in the Australian press linking NRL players to it.
