Good day guys,
ive been working on something cool the last couple of weeks and though its going to still take a while im looking forward to the project and what lies ahead.

Guys im busy creating special faces for ALL international players(including star player faces) and club legends of the original game,adding a few players thats not in the game in 08,so im keeping it original.

By saying this im going to need help,with those willing to help i would appreciate it.
Please inbox me if interested.

So far I've created about 50 new faces,still a lot to work on to.

Not taking any request at the moment sorry.

Hi mate,

That's basically how I've been playing Rugby 08 ever since I came back to it after a 10 year or so hiatus. I've actually did something similar, just without face editing etc. I made it to fit 07-08-09 rosters as that was probably the time I enjoyed rugby most.

I fixed the French sides with content already in the data.gob that was working well in Rugby 06.

I also changed the Springboks side and Aussie side to make more accurate / engaging squads that I enjoyed using.

I've got an edit log I can upload later. I've also got YouTube uploads you can find on this playlist:

I used content already in game to make faces for people like Frans Steyn (using Percy Montgomery) and made Morne Steyn using Charlie Hodgson.

I also made players like Richard Kahui, Jerome Kaino (I couldn't find Xusky faces from 2008-09) and recreated headgear for Giteau, Matfield, McCaw etc. as well as remade players like Vincent Clerc. I did add some odd players to teams though e.g. Nick Evans to England and Caucau to France.

Anyway, I think what you're doing sounds excellent and it would be cool to see you upload the .big files at some stage, hopefully with unique face IDs.

But more focus on 08.
All faces will have unique id so it will not replace anyone,if i could get a few guys on board ,we can add up to about 300+ individual faces.(not sure if the game will handle this but im still going to try)

I'm not really doing texture creation, I just did a bit of swapping. Though I'd be happy to send over my .big and .fsh files for you to use. You can cross check them with the Cyberface index. I'll try and upload them here in a .zip later today.

By the way, in your SA teams, you could add Gerhard van den Heever, Derrick Kuun and Deon Stegmann to your Bulls list. I'm not sure if you have Heinrich Brussow and Peter Grant there already.

One more thing. I forgot how to remove the distant red-orange-green headgear, afro etc. I can't remember which field in Woosah's editor it was, and what values meant what. I want to remove gloves on Giteau and O'Driscoll, as well as alternate between headgear / no headgear for players like McCaw, Juan Smith, Pocock and Pierre Spies.
