I'm surprised this hasn't been created yet. So i thought i'd quickly throw it together before the match starts.

How will this game go? Will Quade have his magical hollywood touch on this game? Will the Reds perform superbly as a team once again? Will Beale be as ineffective at 10 this week? Will the Waratahs be as woeful as they've shown far too many times this season?

If Waratahs step up and Reds maintain the high standards they've shown over the past few weeks then this will be a cracking match. I'm expecting a fast flowing match.

Thoughts?

Should be a close game, as these local derbies often are. Should be a good battle at 10 between Beale and Cooper... noone really knows what either of them are going to do when they get the ball. Overall I'm picking the Tahs to win it... but only just.

Cooper missing a relative sitter of a penalty. Good to see some nasty shots are coming in already, wouldn't be a derby without some fire!

This is going to be one of those matches that's going to be fantastic or be dreadful
Hopefully the former, I like both teams and they've both got the potential to play some fantastic rugby

Agreed, Olyy. I'd like it to be wonderful, but things are getting more and more fiery by the minute - handbags being thrown as i type - i just hope they don't forget to play rugby.

Why is Kurtley Beale no.10 by the way?
I presume it's because Barnes is injured, but don't they have an alternative no.10 in the squad. I'm only saying that coz i think Beale is a much more effective player at full back. He can be deadly at no.10 as he's shown, but if i was the coach I'd like to try and get him starting at 15 every week.

Oh ****! What the hell happened to Drew Mitchell?
They say they could see his foot turned the wrong way. Ouch!!!

Hope he's back soon, poor bugger.

And now Ben Daley's gone down like a sack of spuds. Cooper having to hold him by his arm as he stands up so he doesn't fall over. And Daley walks off the field like a drunk man.

Waratahs defence standing strong, but they've just given a really cynical penalty, as the ref called it, right in front of the posts. Some refs would have given Waugh a 10 minute breather there.

NOW THAT WAS MAGICAL BY COOPER!
Brilliant try!!!

And the celebration was pretty good, clearly wanting to show up Digby from last week!

Nothing tops Rene Ranger getting two people to wheel his legs in a circle yesterday to do the caterpillar though :p

When did rugby turn into American football?

Ye but in American Football a flag might be thrown for excessive celebration ;)

Olyy, if you've read these guys on twitter you'll know that's just the way they are. They seem like a bunch of clowns off the field. I like it that they go all out for their celebrations.

Aye, nothing against them, just a bit of fun

I'm waiting for them to pull out this:

Daniel Halangahu is the other option at 10 in the squad. He started at 10 the match after Barnes got injured (against the Crusaders if I remember correctly) and had a poor game (particularly on defense). He himself got injured I think the next week, so they were forced to move Beale to 10. Beale has played reasonably well at 10 since, so has kept the 10 jersey despite Halangahu being back from injury. I do agree though that Beale is far more effective at 15, and probably should be playing there (with Halangahu at 10).
